Tuna is tuna and will always taste like tuna! Try it with a
little salsa (if on the diet)or chop up some red or orange peppers, tomato & onion(very fine). I buy Ahi (sushi grade) tuna from the Seafood store. (one ten pound case 69.99) It is not as strong as canned. You can spice it and cook it through till just off pink. OR if its sushi quality it great seared in no stick pan (that means rare)with wasabi. YMMMMM This is not for everyone. If you want to try it I know P&C sells it as single serve in their fish freezer section. (my not be sushi quality so cook it through)

Hey..

mix it with some light mayo and diced onions.. put it on a bun or sliced of bread. You can add lettuce and tomatoes.

I like tuna plain, but when I want something different I will add fat free mayo and dill relish with a bit of lemon and pepper.

I agree with itrosi's point, tuna is tuna and always will be. It really sucks unless you mix it up real nice with mayo and onions and relish and all the bad stuff! I tried a recipe I found for tuna last night, thought it might be good...

Tuna pattie...can of tuna, 1 eggwhite, 1/4 cup oats, some chopped onion, form and grill....

well, bad news, it sucked too!! LOL...
Good luck to all with the tuna. I eat it because I am dedicated to my sport/contests, but otherwise I wouldn't touch it with a 10' pole! Does it come across that I HATE tuna?? LOL....

I have had some really good tuna patties, made with egg, cottage cheese, corn meal, tuna, onions..salt/pepper, chives maybe. I will look and see if I can find a more specific recipe because they were just as good cold as when first cooked.

I find that if you eat enough of something you eventually become accustomed to it.. I always liked tuna fish but HATED every other fish with a passion. Now I have been eating other fish once or twice a week and I can finally stand the taste. Same goes for me with brocolli and asparagus etc.. I hated em, but now that I eat them so often I have just gotten used to them. On the same point, I used to love pizza and burgers with bacon and cheese and now those foods are just too rich and greasy for me and make me feel slightly ill if I eat them.

I agree. I eat it because it's high in protein and something fast to eat after a workout. Sometimes I mix it with relish and mayo, other times I just spread a light layer of mayo on the two slices of bread and eat it that way. You might try eating it with crackers...

throw in some chopped up boiled eggs, onions, celery, lowfat mayo and seasonings of your choice and it becomes a lot more palatable. i mix up a bunch of it and use it as sandwiches, on top of salads, or just straight.

also, if you check at your grocery store, most of them sell tuna packets in different variations like garlic & herb, spicey, lemon zest, etc. i prefer the garlic and herb, but you should try them all and see which you like best.

I ate tuna mixed with mayo today. I typically make that for a sandwich but by the time I set my meal out, I was already up to 650 calories. I don't think I'll just eat it plain like that again!!!

tuna is always something i've loved, even as picky little kid.

to the haters: a tablespoon of low fat ranch dressing makes taste even better, and unless you're cutting to a bare minimum, doesn't blow up the calorie count.

Tuna, some cheese, onions, a smidge of mustard, maybe some mayo, flax meal, some hot sauce and some oatmeal is a good solid mix.

Fills ya right up.

1 tin of tuna (drained)mixed with 1 tin of decent (not creamy) soup. You can't even taste the tuna.Another one I eat regular is low sugar baked beans mixed with tuna,I know it might not sound very good but it's spot on.
