I had moved up from a 15 minute time period. and I don't know what type of diet I need to have to get rid of the fat. I will be 16 next month and I am 5'0" and about 110-115lbs. plz help!!!!!

if you can do crunches for 30 minutes twice a day with no breaks then you might not be doing them the correct way. you might want to slow down and make sure you are doing them correctly. also you need to lose body fat for the muscles to show. I used to do Tamilee Webb's Abs of Steel. I danced with girls who all had nice flat and toned tummies, and most had little 6 packs but I was the only one who could get through the Ab workout that our trainer designed for us. I had strong Abs from all that work, but you just couldn't see them.
Maybe devote one of those 30 minutes sessions a day to cardio or weight training.
Good luck.

you can check out the exercises on this site specifically for abs. use correct form and slow the movement down as much as you can to get maximum effect. there's a special abs program here as well. the most important thing is your diet. cut out all your junk food, sugary drinks etc and follow the nutrition advice in this site. you should see a difference. good luck

spurkity- doing stomach crunches for seven years will not get rid of the fat. You need to cut down on fast food, junk food, and fatty foods. Your diet is of upmost importance when it comes to losing fat. Then cardio and weight training.
In order to lose the love handles and fat around your abs, you need to do some cardio- FOR REAL! Do about 30-45 minutes of cardio at least three times a week, more if you want. You also need to do some weight lifting because building muscles helps burn fat. The more muscle you have, the more fat you burn.
Be patient. It will not happen over night or over a week. It takes time, but believe me it's worth it. Good luck with it all. If you don't belong to a gym, run or walk in your neighborhood or somewhere.

Reeree got it - you have to get rid of the fat - I'm still working on it too - mine is from having having 2 kids & letting hubby decide that fast food is a good thing to eat (when I'm too tired to disagree)
I keep seeing - abs are made in the kithen - that is the main point you need to remember
