what is the difference between BCAA and amino acids?
To make a comparation, Optimum BCAA are composed by L-Leucine, L-Isoleucine and L-Valine.
Now Optimum amino 2222 is composed by a lot of others amino acids.
As far as i haver read, BCAA contains a potent balance of Branched Chain Amino Acids which are building blocks of muscle mass and size.
Amino acids are the components of protein chains. this product contains Essential amino acids that cannot be made by the body.
which one does what then? dont they both help building muscle? or am i confused?
By your profile, you want to put on muscle and size. Don't worry about BCAA's, buy the Optimum 2222 full spectrum amino acids. BCAA's will be of more value by themselves when you are dieting/cutting. For your purposes if your diet is good now, you are consuming good calories, then aminos can be of some benefit. Will help keep nitrogen retention high which will trigger more muscle growth.
If you are on a reduced calorie diet, BCAA's can contribute to a greater fat loss while maintaining your muscle thus strength. Increased anticatabolism in other words.
