Hey guys

I recently started working again but cos i moved apartments the gym in this apartment is pretty lacking.I'd call it more of an exercise room with mirrors n a tv!
It only has a bunch of stationary bikes and those ski type machines, a rowing machine that doesnt work. I have free weights in my own house.
Was wondering does anyone know if the ski type cardio machine is effective? as effective as say a tread mill? i doubt i'll beable to perform HIIT on that machine n i hate doing the HIIT on the bikes cos my knees end up getting sore.

And does anyone know any good exercises to build up legs without any leg press machines or anything? all i can think of are squats and calf raises.

Also im having trouble finding exercises i can do @ home with just free weights and no bench for my chest..any suggestions?

I know im not giving u guys much to work with but any help would be greatly appreciated!

thanks

Lunges for the legs. Not sure about the chest...would just laying on the floor do any damage?

I went to Wal-mart and bought a neat little thing called a door gym. It is in the sporting goods department in a blue and black box and cost about 20 dollars. You attach it to the back of a door and it has resistance bands on it. It comes with a booklet showing multiple exercises , many of which are for the upper body. It has worked great for me so maybe it will help you out too.

Press ups. Vary your hand position and as you get stronger try full press ups (ie on your toes) and even try putting your feet on a box or something solid and doing press ups elevated.
