Just so david is aware the chest are directly related to your tri-ceps for pushing movements and your back is directly related to your bi-cep for pulling movements. You well see alot of people splitting their excercises into the following training splits:
1. Back/Bi's
2. Chest/Tris
They do this to pre-exhaust their joining muscles and get a complete workout for those smaller muscles. I personally dont like this workout as it does not work for me and I think it overtrains those smaller muscles so when I have my splits I do this:
Day 1. Back/Tri's
Day 2. Chest/Bi's followed by
Day 3. Shoulders/Calves
Day 4. Legs
Day 5.Rest Day
Repeat
Hope this helps

arm size is also determined by chest and back devolopment.......the arms are designed to work in conjunction with your back to pull , and chest to push.........how many 110lbs guys you see carrying 20 in guns? None lol.....if you want big arms you need big chest and backs, nto to mention a good leg foundation.

when my arms don't grow, I sinply don't train them for a while( 2 weeks usually)i do heavy heavy rows, pull ups, chest work, and hit the legs just as hard......after that 2 weeks or so my back an dchest have gotten stronger but guess who else has to get bigegr and stronger? The arms well mine anyways will shoot up a 1/4 of an inch in like a week( feels like it anyways). However i also have to gain 1 or 2 lbs just for a quater on inch on my arms.

I made this post in another thread...Your arm size should reflect your ponderal index (how much muscle mass you have for your height). This is the best approach, as it takes into account that arm size is a byproduct of overall mass gains.

Genetic factors play a big part in arm potential. If you come from a family whose members all resemble comedian JJ Walker, chances are that you'll never really have arms that serve as shade for small forest animals.

In 2 months do not look for much growth.

My 2 cents, something i just started doing is negatives and positives and full reps = 1 set, do 3 sets of them increasing the weight each time and decreasing the reps 1 set = 10, 2nd set = 8, 3rd set = 6, and ive noticed some growth on my biceps, no measurement, but i can see the difference. Also thats just one of the workouts in the routine still do all your others. Worked for me, again just my 2 cents.

Ok, I have a question it might be a dumb one though. Currently I have a bicep size of a little over 14 inches,(I know, I know Its small) but I was wondering if anyone knows what the most you can grow in inches is over a 2 month period? Thanks David

It's a small muscle itself and not very strong. It will grow slowly and your patience is the virtue you require. On creatine and by gaining 6 lbs I can push the measure to 15'' but that puts an inch on my gut too! More importantly I can increase all my exercises & repping weights by about a kilo or 2 per hand over a couple of months +... But I can diet it back off again keeping my lifts the same(roughly speaking). I'm a measly 14 1/2'' now but they look better than the photos now as the shape is improving over the time. Physical evidence in measure/weight/photos does help your motivation and you can see the results even over the long term slow training I do.

Remember tha basics always; the tricep is 2/3 of the bulk of the arm measurement here! Always train it too! to grow protein/food/water is necessary. Creatine will give you a false watery muscle but will help get the weight used up easier(my opinion).Sweets don't help but for fat gain. If skinny cut down on cardio, train arms once a week as if trained hard enough, then 2 or 3 days to recover must be a minimum!
So a suggested routine for once a week eh, if I can be so bold;
3 sets each of 8 reps and do a cycle with little or no rest- put the pressure on yourself to be quick like finished in 3 mins a set average to 55 mins and in the shower.
rope curls, ez french press, hammer curls, dips off a bench, machine curls(or supinated) and then(assisted) dips(12 reps), ez bar curls(as 21's) and in 8 weeks change the routine of exercises...

it all depends on how you work them, your diet, recovery and most importantly genetics...
