Carpathian, a couple of months ago I went from eating 3 times day to 6 times a day. My actual cal intake increased a little (by about 200cals) but I started to LOSE 1/2lb a week.
Obviously it depends on how much you're eating at the moment, but it's really important to eat frequently to keep the metabolism up. The mistake most people make when trying to lose weight is not eating enough, so you put in loads of effort and see little results.

You may need to just play about a bit with your meals and cal intake to find what works for you (try varying by 250 cals per day for a week and see what happens)

Here I am... trying to eat MORE to get enough calories (though gradually more) and I read something like this... not the comment to reduce meal size... *sigh* My meals don't come close enough without reducing the size... so which is it *Evil grin*

It is frequently suggested that to raise our metabolism we should eat five or six times a day, three meals with healthy snacks in between. The reason is that eating raises our metabolism, and so the theory is that if we eat many times during the day it will keep our metabolism running high.

Should you choose to practice this, remember that it was probably snacking between meals that caused you to become overweight in the first place. It will be very important that the snacks are healthy, and that the meal sizes are reduced to compensate for the additional calories the snacks provide.
