I was wondering if there a way to make your legs stronger without gaining size in them?

Hey assante74..
yes! Just perform movements which are not MASS BUILDERS. Also.. keep the rep range in the 10-15 count. You will get toned and stronger.. depending on your body type, you may gain size.. so maybe measure your legs before the training and every few weeks after. Sometimes definition gives the look of a bigger muscle.. but it is not so.
Good Luck.

Sprint is one of the best exercices to build stronger legs without lots of muscle mass. Also jump a lot..... Try to mix squats (no heavy weights) and jumping.

10-15 rep range and lots of isolation excercises should do the trick! -Sweeny

Try performing squats and do about 3-4 sets of 15reps, but with no weight. The catch is hold the squating position for a 5-10 count depending on your muscularity and strength.

You know there is another way, do mini squats, hold a 25, 35, or 45 weight againts your chest, and do the squat, but do very high reps like 20-40. You will get stronger and more cut. Also if you just do wall squats that should help to.
