My weight is a constant up and down battle. My shopping schedule, throughout a typical year, includes sizes smaller than avg 0 to 4. I'm short, so a four is way too much hip and I look like a shrimpie. Currently, I am working 8-5 and going to school from 5:30 to 9:45 during the week. Imagine being in college and not drinking in order to prevent weight gain?! These sacrifices and I still hate to go out due to the weight I've gained recently. (I know I have body image issues, so please don't attack me on that one, but I'd rather struggle for something than let my self be a cow at what may be the hottest years of my life!) I'm willing to wake and exercise, but since it is the only time I have, I need to use it wisely. How should I plan my work out schedule to just lose weight and then work on building muscle later? Usually, I can just starve and lose weight...not anymore.

This is what I would do if I were you. If you have access to a weight room of some sort get up early like 5:30am and be ready to workout by 6am than hit the weight room and do weights for 30mins than go and do some cardio for another 30 mins followed by stretching. You will be in and out by 7am. When I worked the 9-5 shift I used to go to the gym before work and than have a shower at the gym and get dressed there and than drive straight to work. Getting results will not be easy and also include a sound diet with lots of protein 1gram per pound of body weight and low fat with some good carbs. Also drink a ton of water just carry a water bottle around with you thats what I do. You also have to let us know what you have access to. Dont be scared if you gain weight at the beggining as muscle weighs more than fat. If you keep it up you will get results. welcome to FT

I have no access to a weight room currently. I live in a nice downtown neighborhood, so a jog in the morning is great! I've been trying to do pushups, etc. at home. Thanks for the post, though. I'm taking the water advice and will let you all know the second I begin to see results.
