Im at a stage now where i have made some gains but Im really unhappy about my spare tyre round my middle. I decided to drop my workouts to 3 days a week and do less sets etc, introduced increasing amounts of cardio and have started a course of hydroxycut. Im worried that i might lose some muscle that ive wrked so hard to gain. Am I approaching this in the correct way?? Ive also got some noresten whích Im thinking of using after ive lost my fat and finished using the hydroxycut.
Any 1 hav similar problems or advice??
Thanx

The only thing I can say jon, is to make sure of eating enough proteins (and cut down fat and carbs). You can do cardio 5 times per week but don't do more than 20-30 mins at time.

Hey jon i will be going threw this is a month and a half, too. Like the other guys says keep eating the protien, cut the fat, and cut the carbs, with your work out, to help you cut up do 20-30min cardio before working out. If you dont do this normaly, your body will have to adjust to this, then do your work out but only do 80% of you peak weight and do lots of reps, it is more like cardio theis will help to keep your heart rate at the fat burning level, i would also recommend swimming if you can three times a week for at least a half hour. Try this for three weeks, it wil take that long for your body to adjust. You should keep your gains, and see the cutting comeing in. Also drink a lot of water, i drink like 12 bottles a day. You need to flush your system, plus the only place you lose fat is threw your urine. Good luck, if you need any other help feel free to email me, badassis300@yahoo.com

If I wanted to lose fat I would not reduce my workouts and my number of sets and reps. I would increase them! AND introduce cardio. With adequate protein you should keep muscle while losing fat.

The theory somebody told me was, as im decreasing carbs, doing cardio, I might be more likely to overtrain! take a look at www.teenbodybuilding.com. go to the "Big red" pages. Its quite good, but im interested in what others think.

For me the best way is to keep your workout 3 days per week and keep your reps between 15 to 20 do isolation movement cut your kcal from carb by 200 cal per day keep your protein at about 45% and your fat about 15% check your weight you should not lose more then 1 to 2 pounds a week other wise you will lose muscle mass. Do your cardio 4 to 5 times a week but first thing in the morning on a empty stomach, keep your heart rate between 65 to 75% of your MHR this way you will burn fat not fuel. Eat 5 to 6 meals per day.Drink lots of water durring the day minimum 10X 10 onces glass. GOOD LUCK !
