I have been drinking protine shakes after my workout for about a week and i have noticed that i have droped 10 pounds and about 8 inches all around. I was just wondering what exactly do protine shakes do for ya. I know i pay for them but what else do they do bc make you go to the bathroom:laugh::laugh::laugh: if anyone could explain this it would be a great help thanks.

consuming more protein makes you burn fat too not only build muscle. studies have shown that people who eats more protein in a period of 7 horus burnt 400 calories.
i read this in bodybuilding.com i am just telling what i found.

how often are you eating? how much? what about your carbs, did you put some more into your diet?

i think you shoudl eat more calories
increase a bit your carbs and proteins eat at least 6 times and eachs meal with a minimum of 500 calories, make it 600.

this if your goals are adding mass to your body. thats what you trying to do isnt it?

That's where you are wrong. Adding mass (muscle) helps you burn MORE calories! Muscle is gold  You will up your metabolism by adding mass :) Do not fear the weight training! Without mass if you do lose the weight you will look like a skinny blob <yuck> Muscle makes you smooth, tight, and healthy looking :)

Well, the make me look forward to something to drink after my workouts :). Protein helps repair/rebuild those muscles. Muscle burns fat quicker but I'd be willing to bet its the workouts, cardio and eating habits that has you looking so GREAT :dumbbell:

as i told you, eat 6 times a days smalls meal then becasue you are trying to cut. althou you need calories for your msucles. in order not to gain more fat you have to consume "godd calories" not yunk calories. with this you will rease your metabolism as Damselfly says.

Getting more protein is a win-win situation. It rebuilds the muscle making you stronger and bigger, it burns calories while rebuilding the muscle that you've broken down during weight training, and the muscle that the protein builds burns more calories during the day.
