I hardly ever eat ham or bacon but while camping this summer it seems like that's what the family always had cooking.

Even if I just have very small portions, I felt bloated for the rest of the day! I do love a good pork tenderloin too, but I think even that added a few inches to my waistline for days the few times we've had it.

Any validity to this observation or should I be looking elsewhere for the culprit??

I'm not sure about the states, but I know that Canadian pork is relatively lean compared to beef. I think fsdsk nailed it, with regard to all of the salt that's used to cure ham & bacon.

Try to drink A LOT more the days you eat it. Can help. Or what about taking some potassium tabs?
