You know, this is the last time I get a workout partner. No matter who I try to get working out with me, they show up 10% of the time unless I'm actively calling them. I call this guy first thing in the morning at 0440 and for the first 2 weeks he answered and came. Having to call someone to show up is annoying, but worked for a while. Now he just doesn't answer his phone sometimes and if he does he comes up with excuses like, "I fell asleep on the sh*tter". How do you fall asleep on the sh*tter!!!
Sorry, just had to vent :). Thank you all for listening .

Man, weild that sword. Use this to help you on your lifts. Both negative and positive reinforcement works well in pumping serious iron. If he can't show up and deep-pockets an excuse, you don't need him. He's a piece of poop that you step over and continue on.

Davis,
I think that deep down inside we all know if a workout partner is going to be a good one from the minute we start working out together. Throughout my life I have had atleast a dozen different workout partners. Only one of them was worth his weight in water. I still have people now who ask me to work out with them. I tell them that I go to the gym everyday at lunch, they are welcome to come, but I am not going to change my workout for them. In a weird way, I like working out alone anyway. That is my time.

Davis, I think the same as hec, I´ve been working out alone for almost a year now and I don´t want to change this because I believe that when you train alone you focus more on your lifts and you dont talk that much... I use a spotter for my last set of a compound exercise at the most.
Hope this helps and keep up the motivation

due to my ongoing washing machine problems, I find it safer to workout alone.

Charlie, please remove my picture from your mirror. I told you, you need to contact my licensing agent. I do not appreciate unauthorized use of my likeness.

Not on your life. I paid a fortune to have it digitally blown up. The detail under pink tutu is staggering.

Ain't love grand? Charlie, I'd like a copy of that picture for my fridge please.
I don't work out in a gym, but I do walk almost every day when I am not being a complete scumbag and blowing it off. I tell people they CAN'T walk with me because I'm not there to be social. They are welcome to walk at the same time, but I wait for noone and I talk to noone. I walk and then I leave.

Anni I am with you on the walking solo.. I've been training for my big 60 mile walk (2 weeks.. aagh) and everyone keeps asking why I don't team up with other walkers.
I don't *want* to walk with anyone, I don't want to talk to anyone, I want to focus on my rhythm and my stride length and my arm movements etc. I want to knock those miles out as quickly as possible and get the maximum physical benefit from it.
Working out, it would be nice once in a while to have someone spot me but I just call over a trainer for the lifts I need it on.

The partners are good, but after a while you get nothing done. At least in my case too much talking. I prefer solo, sin nadie:big_smile:

lol! You guys are great. Thank you for listening to my venting. For the last few days I've just stopped calling him. If he comes great, but else he's out. Still can't believe he fell asleep while taking a dump :surprised:.

How come we never hear the other end of the conversation with the\"can you hear me now\" guy?
