In other posts I've read that the best times to take chromium picolinate are with one of your high carb meals of the day , and with the pos-workout shake.
But since it makes you more insulin sensitive would'nt it be wrong to take it with the high carb meal, as it will make for a higher insulin spike with it (which I don't want); and on the second case, wouldn't it be better to take it before exercise, so that by the time you're finished and are going to consume your pos-workout shake, the chromium picolinate has already been digested and you are more insulin sensitive???
Is this rationale wrong?

I think you may have a bit of a misunderstanding about chromium. It does in no way create and insulin response. Chromium is needed for proper insulin function. If you are not getting enough chromium, your insulin cannot perform as effectively as possible. This is why it is probably best taken with your pwo shake, as it will "enhance" insulin effectiveness, as well as with a high carb meal.

If you like....it is a mineral that many diets are deficient in, and is really very inexpensive. Taking it every day will in no way hurt, and may over the long term have some very positive results beyond bodybuilding.
Some scientists believe that chromium depletion can lead you to insulin resistance(it is unproven though).
Good food sources are apples, eggs, nuts, mushrooms, broccoli, and tomatoes.
