This has got to be the most imbarrasing thing i've ever said to millions of strangers...but here goes.
So I am new to the gym and supplementation (by 2 months)
I'm taking Creatine, Glutamine, and have increased my protien intake by a lot, and i'm getting some pretty bad gas.... Needless to say this is really hurting my social life. I have been successfull in the gym, in two months i've gained 10 poounds and dropped 4 percent of my body fat. But i don't want to go out with a girl and worry about stinking up the room.
I was taking 2 protein shakes a day, but i've cut it down to 1, but would like to go back to 2....what should i do????
And don't worry about making fun, i can take your jokes as long as you're trying to help too.
:surprised:

Check your protein. Inferior proteins(high lactose) can cause gas. Investigate a pure whey isolate. This will more than likely clear up the problem.

Thanks for the info...can you suggest some brands....right now i'm using "intersports pure whey" it was really cheap, and has a lot of aminos in it....maybe the fact that it was cheap is what is messin me up.

I get 5lb tubs of pure whey isolate for about $40 after shipping at www.allthewhey.com. I haven't found pure isolate any cheaper at other places, and it's never given me the digestive problems that whey concentrate did.

fiber is also bad for giving gas. i decided that i was going to eat my kashi go lean cereal as a crunchy snack to replace chips, i mean it's healthy so why not. i guess i ate too much at one time because i had monster gas for the rest of the day :(

You may want to investigate some digestive enzymes.

i have found that taking a pre-digested protein is better for people who have gas.
