i have long arms and i do not think it has an effect on the way i lift. i do think though that is makes it harder to see the progress in your arms.

The prob with us "long" people is that our muscles are long as well. We need to a little bit differently to get the peak on the muscles like the others.
Try doing partiel exercises. For ex do preacher curls and keep the range of movement where you'll never end up curling or stretching completely your arms.

This can help giving you the wanting results.

Good luck!

In a way it does...for example, if ur benching and you're a person with longer arms you have to push the weight further than someone with shorter arms. This makes it more difficult for you to do heavier weight, or as heavy of a weight. Also, when you have long arms its harder to get that ripped look....becuase often times long arms look skinny.

u r exactly right musclerage u can especially notice it on the bench where some people with short arms dont have to work as hard to press it as the pole with long arms..no offense to anything to the people with short arms though...i know they still work hard.

I AM 6 2 AND I HAVE LONG ARMS FOR A PERSON MY SIZE. I AM ONLY 185, BUT CAN BENCH 215 FOR 10 THATS IS WITH VERY GOOD FORM MAYBE THE LAST TWO A LITTLE SLOPPY. SO WHY DO I SEE PEOPLE WITH SHORTER ARMS AND THE SAME WEIGHT DOING LESS WEIGHT. I DONT THINK IT IS A PROBLEM I SEE IT AS A INCENTIVE. THE PEOPLE WITH SHORTER ARMS CAN ONLY GET SO BIG, YOU HAVE A LOT MORE ROOM TO GROW. AND WHEN YOU REACH YOUR POTENTIAL YOU WILL BE WELL BEYOND THE GUYS WITH SHORTER ARMS. IT JUST TAKES LONGER BECAUSE THERE IS MORE ROOM TO FILL, SO KEEP TRAINING.

I am with bigdawg032, took forever to even have someone notice my arms. It was not till they got over 18" that people took notice. Surely, shorter arm guys have the advantage with power. Less distance to push the iron.

Do not worry about it bro. Just keep good form and keep working and it will come to you.
