I have just started a new job which is night shift and I am losing my tenous grasp on reality.
Is it sunday today?
If I start at midnight does that mean I'm doing sunday night shift or monday night shift
Do I have my breakfast when I get up or should I have my tea?? When on earth do I have lunch?
When am I supposed to workout?
What is my name?

Oh man, princesslodgey, I hear you, I feel your confusion! Though I am not on nights, working full time again after being able to work at home and work out and eat right has been hazardous to my health! I am like a freakin' tornado blowin' in and tearin' things up leaving a mess of #$%# in my wake!

The only thing I can help you with is your name, Princesslodgey, which I have to tell you, I don't even believe that to be your "real" name, so that may not of even helped you out much! *wink*

Hang in there, nights are so hard to get used to at first, but congrats on the new job!!

Umm, I'm believing it would be Monday's midnight shift since midnight of Sunday has already come and passed. :)

Good luck on getting accustomed to your new work shift. I'm sure it won't talk you very long to become adjusted to it.

I hope your first shift goes well. Congrats!

I hear you princess, I'm on night shift myself. It's crazy because it's normal american office hours, except I'm in the philippines and we're ahead by about 12 hours! I guess I'm used to it since I've had this job for about 9 months, and haven't collapsed or anything.

But yeah, confusion is a very familiar thing lol. I'm on american time on weekdays and philippine time on the weekends, no matter how crazy that sounds! It gets even more confusing when you add in your workouts and cardio routines!

heh...one amusing thing though, in the office, I have a 1AM lunch hour. And I almost never see the sun on weekdays. am i...turning nocturnal???

Well, I have been on the night shift (6:30 PM to 7:00 AM) for about 12 years. When I get home from work around 7:30 AM I may have a small snack before bedtime, like oatmeal.

I then will usually awaken between 3:00 and 4:00 PM. I take my daily vitamin, creatine and protein shake, then do my Cardio or my Gym routine. Then it's off to work.

At work by 6:30PM I eat my "breakfast", usually a salad and high protein meat with veggies. Another small meal at about 10:00 PM.

At midnight it's "Lunch" time! Another well-balanced meal.

Usually again at about 3:00 AM I will have a healthy snack.

I take Melatonin 3mg. to help me with my sleep during the day time just before hitting the sack.

On my days off I try to convert to a more normal day schedule.

Welcome to the world of vampires and the walking dead!:surprised:
