i have a question. i am trying to lose body fat so of course i'm cutting back on carbs. my main carb intake basically comes from a bowl of oatmeal in the morning and vegetables in my salad and dinner. i was just wondering if it would be ok for me to eat 2 slices of wheat bread per day or if it should be more like every other day or every few days. i love bread and 2 slices of wheat bread with some grilled chicken, lettuce and tomatoes shouldn't kill me right? please, please, please tell me what you guys think.

I havent ate bread in 6 weeks, Trust me cut out all bread and all enriched flour/wheat products even tortillas, get rid of them...Want to lower that bodyfat and cut the weight cut the bad food!....
asimmer helped me throw the bread out and so far in the past 6 weeks
I have went from 165-130 (im in training for boxing so lifting and getting big and muscular isnt an option for me) I lowered my bodyfat from around 14-15 percent all the way down to around 10%!!!!
No matter how much you love something, You should love yourself more so throw it out!

If you dont have the oatmeal, than you might wat to have 3-4 eggs (no whites) and a slice of WHOLE WHEAT not just wheat bread. It could be any whole grain. The idea here is you are replacing the carb, and not adding.
Goldengloves....nice work on the bf!

the fact is that WHEAT BREAD has a high glycemic index that means that estimulates insuline in a higer level. insuline is the natural hormone that stores fat. if loosing weight is your main goal then try to eat WHOLE WHET BRED, as CARIVAN said, because it is low glycemic level and the insuline is not estimulate in a big level so you don´t store as much fat as if you were eating WHEAT BRED.
look for the glycemic index there you will find the LOW GI food that will help on your goals.
how about that?
