You may get different thoughts on this, but I take creatine everyday even on my days off. Make sure you are drinking tons of water.
Good Luck!

You can, but better that your didn't, reason being the creatine and protein together kinda takes the creatine effect out or something like that. Better to start with your protein asap, then follow with a creatine mix 15 min later. I prefer only on W/O days, but the creatine i use suggests that.

fire-medic,

For best results, take the creatine with simple carbs. If you are doing an insulin spike for your PWO shake with protein and maltodextrin/dextrose then take your creatine (with water) about 20 minutes into drinking your PWO shake. On off days, drink with just water. Save your insulin sensitivity for PWO only.

creatine breaks down very quickly. Do not mix it with your shake.

i know this has been said before, but what's the best time to take it on your off days? i hear breakfast is the best time, but if that's the case, do i just take it on an empty stomach or what? today (day off) i had half a glass of orange juice first thing, then the creatine after 5 minutes... then about five minutes later i had my actual breakfast... thanks...

My opinion is to take the creatine first thing in the morning on off days on an empty stomach.

I have two creatine questions

1. How much creatine shall I take per day? (I know many of you guys take 10g a day, but I use promax, and they say only 2g per day, and if you take more you should first ask a doctor for permission :surprised: )
2. When is the best time to take it? (before training? after training? split?)
