Hi everybody!

I realize that this is a strange request, but I'm making it anyway.

I'm taking a class in forensic psychology and criminal profiling. The class has turned out to be hugely expensive and as a result I have to scrounge for some books.

I'm looking for donations of books written by or about serial crimes ie murder, rape, arson, kidnapping, that kind of thing. If you have any of this kind of stuff gathering dust on a bookshelf and want to get rid of it, I'd be grateful to have it.

Thanks!

Thanks!

Glad you said that Anni. I was in the process of packing up every Patricia Cornwell, John Sanders , Penn Williamson, Clive Custler, Michael Connelly, John Connelly........the freight would have been a couple of years tuition. Who's ya daddy.

Thanks jacksprat but borrowing is not what I'm after. I'm looking for books I can keep.

Sorry anni, my bookshelves are stocked with science fiction and climbing books with the occasional fictional detective story.

what about getting some of the books online second hand?

Hi Princess, good suggestion but no more money for books. This class plus textbooks was nearly $800 so my budget is shot. Special topics classes are only given when someone is available to teach the special topic so I had to grab this one while I had the chance. It's no big deal, I was just hoping somebody might be ready to clean off their bookshelves.

anni, why don't you ask a classmate if you can borrow a book for the night then take it and copy all of the pages. I used to do this for classes. Or I'd buy the book and then copy it and return it. I understand you don't have money for the books but if you can get some thinner books to copy (or even copy them at work) you could cut the cost of a hundred page book down to five dollars or less. In a pinch this would be better than nothing.

Okay, let me make this even clearer. I have the required material, I'm just looking for some extra stuff. If somebody has books, non-fiction stuff about serial killers, etc. they want to get rid of, I'd love to have them though I can't pay you for them.

Thanks!
