Arnold hasn't been posting in a while.. I wonder where he went.. actually I wonder where a LOT of people went.. the people that would post here everyday when the FT points contest was going on and once it was over disappeared forever.. people like Xavier.. Amr_MrOlympia(sp?).. and so on... |

I am here!.. I post daily firelord.. however just to a select few now-a-days.. the community seems to be doing a great job with helping the newbies with their goals.Alright, yes I have the encyclopedia. Both the old and new versions. At one time I had it memorized from cover to cover. Anyways, the programs that Arnold recommends for Level I, II, III, etc are very demanding. Arnold believed in training for 3-4 hours at a time. Beginners read this and try it because Arnold recommends it and end up overtraining. So unless you are advanced, then stay away from these programs. Sign up with a program here at ft if you haven't already, they will give you the program to reach your goals. Or give us some info on what your goals are and we'll be glad to help you out with a program to follow. Good Luck -------------- .o0 Arnold 0o...o0 theaustrianoak@hotmail.com 0o. |

Ahh, yes... The Great One. I have the book and I always encourage others to go out and get simply for the motivation factor. My honest opinion of Arnold's workouts - too much stress on the body. As said above, Arnold basically lived in the gym. Not many people can workout, eat, and sleep the way he did simply due to the lack of time in all of our schedules. I can't imagine how much food that man had to consume just to supply his muscles with energy for a 4 hour workout! If you followed his routine without the proper nutrition and sleep, you will overtrain your muscles very quickly. -------------- --JBennett "I've up-ed my intensity.... now up yours!" It's funny because I know this kid (like 19) that doesn't lift at all, and got Arnolds book. Personally I hope he tries it and jacks himself up. He'll learn.. too bad it will probably be the hard way.. that or he will be one of the people that quit in a few months because their not getting the miracle results they had hoped for..============ Quoting from Cainsands: It's funny because I know this kid (like 19) that doesn't lift at all, and got Arnolds book. He may get discouraged (and even injured) after trying out one of Arnold's routines (if he tries to do so). Arnold's routines are really geared for advanced bodybuilders (on roids at that)!-------------- **_Robert_** |

LMFAO! @ ROBERT! Yeah I basically tried to explain that anyone who ever did fitness professionally has their idea of how it should be done and not all of them work for everyone. It's cool, he'll learn or hurt himself. I just think it's amusing the guy doesn't workout but has in the past so he behaves like an expert. Too funny. From the sounds of it Arnold was a seriously intense mofo, so I wouldn't even venture to try it right now. -------------- And my soul must be iron, because my fear is naked. I'm naked and fearless. |
