When i do my one arm dumbell rows, i use a 100 or 110 lb dumbell to do them. And when i do them, i raise the dumbell up till the front of the dumbell touches my nipple, on the same side as the arm im doing it with, sometimes the opposite one. I have my back straight or postitioned fine. Am i doing these right?

Do you feel it in your back? If you do, then you are probably doing it right. The object of any exercise is to feel it in the muscle you are trying to work. This is a hard exercise to say right or wrong, but I find if I bring the dumbbell back a bit more, kind of like pulling a lawnmower string, I feel it better in my lats. Let your arm stretch all the way down, and then pull up in a smooth motion as mentioned. Try not to concentrate too much here on heavy weights, but more on form. "feel" for the back, if you are not working it, then you are wasting the effort and probably working more arms.

I agree, in my haste I forgot to tell him to make sure and try this and let us know how it works. Or, I kind of get the feeling he already has tried it by his posts.
