I think soreness is a natural part of increasing your size. Your muscles fill with lactic acid once you tear them, so it sorta has to happen. Please fill out your profile, and give alittle more information on what exercises your doing.

Welcome to ft! Since we don't know anything about you (training, diet, etc.), it's hard to answer your question. Tell us about your routine (list of exercises, training split, how long you've been working out, etc.) so we can help you better...

I often find that im not sore during a workout, especially when doing low reps and high weight, I just run out of steam!

Simply because you are not tearing apart as many muscle fibres.......
You can still accumulate lots of lactic acid thou but the recovery is faster.

And your form could probably be improved on! Don't concentrate on heavy weights...form counts even more. The goal is to fatigue the muscles, and not just finish the set!

I have been lifting for 1 and 3 months and my arms have went from 12.5 to close to 16 inches and my biceps have only been sore a few times the same goes for my shoulders the have blew up and they are never sore, so from my experience you can grow without soreness, but everyone is different i guess ia m lucky. peace!

Are you doing the same exercises? Perhaps your arms are used to the excercise. Try doing different exercises targeting the same muscle (from dumbell curls to cable curls, etc), or from even free weights, to machines...or vice versa. oh and I don't think your arms need to be sore to grow....
