rg search fitbuddy for the topic "soda". This has been discussed at great length many times.

I drink it!

Good things:it has no calories or sugar in it

bad things:it's carbonated, and I heard that the ones that contain aspartame tend to make us crave high carbohydrate meals, or was that coffee?
I don't know but I'm sure there are some other bad things about it.

The artificial sweetners are the problem with these.

and the coloring things too... yellow five, or so i hear, is your worst enemy (if you're a man, but i'd assume it'd apply to a woman as well)... o_O

The following sentence is true. The previous sentence is false.

I have also heard that drinking a lot of carbonated drinks can have a negative effect on bone density. Let me look this up......

OK I found 2 studies....

The first looked at bone density in 12-15 year olds - it found that bone density was lower in girls who drank more carbonated drinks (there was no effect detected for boys)

The second looked at older women who consumed a moderate amount of carbonated drinks and found no effect on bone density.

It's possible that the reason for the lower bone density in the girls is because they are drinking more carbonated drinks they are drinking less milk, or there may be some effect on younger bones.

Just drink water it's better for you and cheaper. Have a soda every so often to break up the boredom or crystal light is what i use. I've used soda to get rust off my bike before so i don't think it's doing your insides too much good.

I'm no expert, but I've researched this and from what I've found out is that any type of soda has "Phosphoric Acid" and if you put an excess of that in your body then your blood stream has to balance it and if your not consuming enough calcium then your body has to draw calcium out of the bones to make the ratio correct. That's just how the body works...
