Ok, so I love my beer and alcoholic beverages on my weekends...hey, I feel I deserve them after five grueling days on the job...

But what I don't love is the belly and lovehandles it has given me! I'm lazy and at this point (my first day at ft), I really don't want to exercise!

Short of starving myself, any suggestions?

Well... starving yourself will only make the situation worse... it'll send your body into survival mode and start storing fat... which, I'm guessing is not one of your goals.

Beer, it's good, but too much isn't good for you.... try a lighter beer, consuming less or stopping altogether, which I see seems to be a goal according to your profile.

Keep an eye on your diet... that's the key... try and keep it as clean and healthy as possible... avoid pre-packaged meals and stuff like that and it's a good start...

Then, exercise... read some of the motivational success stories here and you could be on your way... pick a fitness routine from FT and good luck!

Welcome to freetrainers rleahl. You are off to a good start.
Try cutting back on the beer, then eventually try the low carb beers. I am not saying you should drink beer, or shouldn't drink beer, but alot less calories. I stiil like my Heinekins though.
The beer is a killer to the diet though if consumed on a regular basis.
