The numbers seem ok if you eat it without sauces. Sounds really good. Wouldn't mind trying that on the bbq! Do you know what cut of beef it is?-------------- "A will finds a way, failure is not an option" Ivan carivan@freetrainers.com Montreal Canada |

no i don't know what cut it is. No sauces needed it is fantastic without sauces. Really good on tortillas with tomatos and onions with some cheese. but i won't be eating with all that stuff, but that really is the way to have it.

The stats are great...don't know that I have ever seen any kind of beef that low in calories. Would love to use that if this is true, I love beef. Can you send me some??:big_smile: Seriously, is there some place special where you get this?-------------- If you don't stand for something, you will fall for anything.... bb1fit@freetrainers.com |

California. be happy to send ya some if your really interested. I paid $8.27 for 1.38lbs. that's about $6 a pound. Comes pre marinated though so that's a plus. The special place would be Northern Sonora, Mexico is where it comes from.

I was given this carne asada recipe by my sister in Cali, and my roommates love it. Cheap, easy, with great stats.
2 pounds flank steak 12 whole wheat tortillas 1/2 cup tequila 1/4 cup lime juice 1/4 cup lemon juice 1/4 cup orange juice 4 cloves garlic crushed 1 medium onion chopped 1 teaspoon black pepper 1 cup salsa 1 cup guacamole 1 teaspoon tobasco Mix juices, garlic, onion, tequila, tobasco and pepper in a bowl. Add meat and marinate both sides. Cover and refrigerate, turning meat over occasionally. Let sit for 4 hours or more. Preheat grill. Place a few drops of water on each tortilla, stack and wrap in aluminum foil. Place on grill. Remove meat from marinade, reserving marinade. Place on grill. Turn steak and tortillas once during cooking. Brush steak with remaining marinade. Cook to your liking (12 to 15 minutes for medium-rare). Cut into thin slices. Place a few slices of steak on each tortilla with salsa and guacamole and serve. -------------- OSU Law Rugby....specializing in personal injury and pain & suffering. | |

out here in az, we have little carniceria's all over the place. we can pick up carne asada for about 3.50/lb. it's really good stuff. these little meat markets also sell a marinated chicken breast or thigh that is delicious too.
carne asada is flank steak or skirt steak. |
