I am posting this here in the Beginners area because we get alot of posts asking if the programs on here really work. I will post my results as I just completed the "Weight Loss & Definition Program" from here at Freetrainers.

Finished 8 week program "Weight loss & Definition" Must say it works. Trained 5 days per week in the am, with 30 min cardio sessions, then the weights, dropped 7%bf and dropped 9 pounds. Ate 5 times per day, always clean food except 1 meal per week on a Saturday or Sunday. So now, I will take a 2 day break and start another program on Monday.

Good luck to anyone who does the program.

Great self promotion of our system Carivan. These are the results that speak volumes, talk gets us ideas, but the real proof is in the pudding so to speak! A nice example of a Freetrainers study in progress! Way to go buddy!

I work night shifts sometimes - I don't find a problem fitting in my workout - you just have to find out what suits you best. The upside is that you can go to the gym at times when most people are working, when it's nice and quiet.

I used to workout in the morning after a night shift, but at the moment I like working out in the evening before I go to work.

I find the hardest thing about nightshifts is figuring out what to eat and when.

I just finished my 8 week weight loss and definition program 2 weeks ago. I didn't measure body fat, but i lost 8 pounds. went to the doc, she siad great work, and keep it up. I started on a new program last week, working out 4 times a week, with cardio. This really works, just have to keep a good attitude, and keep at it.

Jim, carivan is right on. There are quite a few of us semi seniors here. Stick with it. Your goal regarding staying off lipitor is doable. I have gone from two blood pressure meds to one and hope to stop it eventually. The diet info I've learned here took my cholesterol from 225 to 180. Hang in there and welcome to FT.

Heres a side note for everyone:
My wife went from an average bp of 180/90 to 120/75.
This was done by exercise alone.
The reason more oxygen to the blood. More blood needed to feed the muscles with nutrients, there for the veins respond by getting bigger, and pressure is then reduced.

That's almost exactly what my BP did. Thanks for telling me why. I'm a proud 118/68 now.
