I was recently informed that I'm always starving before my period because my body needs more energy. Therefore, if I eat tons my body burns it anyways. Now this doesn't seem right to me and I don't want to throw my lifestyle plan off. Does anyone know the real truth between PMS & binge eating? :( It's getting me down.

from what I've always heard, you crave carbs during PMS. You should try to stick to your diet during this time, eating lots of fruit. I know how it is also. I am always so hungry also at that time and always seem to want lots of pasta.:( But you just need to stay focused and not let that horrible thing take control!! And they call it your "friend"?

I'm not a girl, but with cheerleading i'm around it ALOT.

IF I had this "problem"i'd find somthing to do, to keep busy, a nice walk, jog, bike ride. Somthing tak eyou mind off "carbs" an dif you have to eat somthing with carbs, make it healthy, some nuts, natural peanutbutter,w/ a glass cold milk. I do knwo excercise, and other things produce endorphines, adrelin(sp) and other hormones, that take pain, and other discomforts away. I Fyour concentrating on somthing, then you can't think about food cause your attention is divereted.

All has to do with hormones being out of wack I believe. If I had my human anatomy book, i could look it up fo rya, but I don't:(

prolly sounds weird comming from a guy, but I hope I at least gave you some ideas.

hahaha Yes, both of you gave great input! :) Thanks. I'll try the natural peanut butter and I love fruit (Thankfully!!) so, I'll give it all a shot. I was just wondering if my body required the extra calories or not? *shrugs* It's not the end of the world. haha Thanks a bundle for all the great ideas!!
