I have heard that to become more cut in this area its all about diet. Is this true? I have also heard that you can do sit-ups ect till you are blue in the face and you cant get the same results as if you are doing cardio, dieting, ect.???? Thanks!

This is all correct, as Robert always tells people situps actually work your hip flexors more, whereas crunches are straights abs. If you want really good definition you have to get to about 8% bodyfat I believe.

Seeing the definition in the abs is a combination of exercise and bodyfat levels.

I meant with Robert. Some people may not like me quoting them.

I don't see why you can't quote the advice of others on the board.. another thing often told on the boards is that you can do crunches/leg lifts/etc and all and develop great ab muscles.. but if their covered up by fat then you'll never see them.. so without a good diet most of that exercise isn't really getting you want you want.. I even remember reading some FDA or some gov agency article about guys storing more fat around their abdominal area and women around their hips more (and some other areas?).. so guys might have a hard time around that area w/ fat...
