I know that for fat loss you need to eat every 3 hours smalls meals in order to accelerate metabolism.
My uncle asked me tofay if i could make him a diet.
the problem is he can only eat 3 meals: he is an excecutive and dont have the time to be eating. besides, he doesnt want.
all i know from nutrition is based on bodybuilders.
what i am not sure right now is are 3 meals ok to fat loss as long as he dont exceed his caloric intake?
how should i put macros? the tipical 40/40/20 p/c/f?
before doing something i want your advice.
thanks

wait, so he doesn't WANT to eat more than three meals? WTF?! the human body doesn't really work like that... if he really wants to slim down, then he either eats the 5-6 meals or else he'll just stay overweight...
you haven't mentioned his weight or anything, but i'd assume his maintenance is around 2000-2500 (just a wild guess)... anyhoo supposing that's so, how the hell will three meals help you in any way? that' s 666-833 cals a meal... that's insane for someone trying to cut... not to mention that his metabolism will probably shut down if he attempts this...
also, you should keep in mind that a caloric defecit will rid you of the extra fat, but you can't keep cutting calories forever... if you want to keep the fat out, you're gonna need the extra muscleness... (like that?! muscleness...)
heh, anyhoo, just my 2 cents...

Wow, 2005 lbs!:surprised:
Anyhow - tell him that if he wants to lose weight he has to change his can't-do attitude. If he is being that stubborn, he isn't really committed. most people will say they want to diet, lose weight, change their lifestyle, etc. But when it comes to making changes, they balk. Ask him how important it is to him.
Either Ready-to-Drink Shakes or the type he can mix with water, or protein bars will fit the bill for his mid-morning and afternoon snacks.

well, weighing in at 2005lbs i'd think his mantenance would be in the 20,000's at least... o_O that being the case, i'd suggest he always have a couple million protein bars handy so he can keep the metabolism going... damn, if he can walk n those legs, i wonder how much the man can squat... heh, jk...
