I was wondering how long I should be trying to bulk up before I go into a cutting phase? Also how long should I be on a cutting phase? I am on week 2 of my 8 week program but I started with a little fat on my stomach, not very much because when I flex my stomach I can see my top 4 of my 6 pack. Should I continue to try to build muscle and let the muscle burn the fat? I am 5' 11" and weight 132lbs and am eating 2300 cals at the present time. I do seem to be bulking a little but the stomach flab seems to stick out a little more now. Thanks for any suggestions.

The choice is purely yours. A good guideline is 8-12 week bulk, then whatever you feel you "need" to satisfy yourself. Be aware, the longer you bulk, the longer your cutting phase will be.

i've been bulking for 10 weeks and will go on for another 6... then i'll take a week or two off and start cutting until i feel satisfied, like ron mentioned... after that, i don't think i'll be bulking longer than 8 weeks at a time...
