Everyday?..aren't your abs a muscle like every other muscle in your body and in order to grow they need rest to repair to build new muscle tissue?

Some people work them every day but without resistance. If you use resistance up to 3 days a week can work.

Charlie hit it again on the head!! This is true for most folks. While you may have to experiment a bit, you should find this to work for you.

Justin - I like to do one day of higher rep work and another day (two or three days later) of resistance work for my abs.
And yes, they do need to rest and recover like any other muscle group...

I do a few crunches before bed, and somtimes in the morning( makes me feel thinner throughout the day), and do weighted crunches, or somthing 1 to 2 times a week in the gym.
On days I need extra trunk stablizers( squats, deads) I do regualr crunches after, On say chest days shoulder days I do somthing with weight supseted, during after before whatever.

abs is not like regular muscle: very ery very hard (if not impossible) to overtrain....
if you want muscle developpement, hit abs from 3-5 times a week.
