Hi ,
I have lost and gained weight many times, want to make this my last time. I swear if I fail this time , i'll just stay fat and die at 50! I weight 192, 5 foot 3 inches, high blood pressure, age 36. I have that kind of body with a large belly (it's so gross, looks like I'm 5 months pregnant!).
I have been following the fitness plan for 1 week and added 30 minutes of cardio (by walking fast each evening).I have had 4 kids and worked an office job for some time now.

I did Atkins and kept 30 lbs off for 1 year, then it came back very fast. plus it brought another 12 pounds with it!
I kept my weight at 180 for 10 years until Atkins. Now I'm 192. Why hasn't my weight gone down this week? I actually gained 2 pounds!

I feel so yucky. Is anyone else having this problem when recovering from Atkins?

I wish the Makeover show allowed Canadians!

Hey Lauriem...

Welcome to FT... this is a fantastic site for gathering information and asking questions...

I would first suggest you fill out a profile, follow a fitness plan set up by FT (it's free) and learn as much about nutritition as you possibly can from the resources here... follow the nutritional guidelines set up for you too and it'll help a lot...

You have to eat to lose weight (yes, it's true) and not all carbs are bad... do some searching with fit buddy (bottom of the page, it's FT's search engine) and you'll get a ton of posts about Atkins...
