Hey All

Straight to the point . . . . I can't cook. At all (there was this one incident with a boiled egg .....). Ahem.

So need some ideas of what I can make (try to any way) or types of food that are already prepared or packed.

Items that I have thought of already are : -

- Chicken (whole but I have it over one or two days minus the skin)
- Tuna (as well do)
- Yogurt - is generally the low fat fruit flavoured ones to go for or just plain yogurt ?
- Fruits

There are others but then again there are also a fair few things I am just allergic too (i.e. peanut butter for one).

But if any one can just throw some ideas up then that would be ace.

Learn to cook some basic things - it will impress the ladies (or gents, if thats what you're into) and it will make your diet much more interesting.

Buy a basic cookbook and read it and learn some basic techniques. Or check a local community college for some cooking classes.

Food you make yourself is usually going to be better for you than pre-made or pre-cooked.

For chicken, 99% of the time I eat plain old broiled skinless chicken breast. When I'm in the mood something different, I usually marinate it overnight in fat free italian dressing or balsamic vinegar.

For tuna, I usually mix in some mushed up black beans and some salsa. Easy, good cold, and very nutritious. Good in a whole wheat pita too.

I stay away from yogurt, mostly because even the low-calorie stuff is loaded with sugar. The atkins kind made with sucralose is pretty decent, but very expensive where I live ($1 for a little 4 oz cup, yeesh.)

Fruits...um, good as is imo.
