I tried to answer your post Millenia, but the screen went completely wierd.......
anyway, wholemeal bread is one of the better carbs because it's energy is slowly released into your bloodstream, but 6 slices is maybe a little too much, especially if you're a bit low on protein.
I was a wholemeal bread addict too, I've only just cut down from 6 slices a day to 3 quite recently.
When are you having the bread? could you have a protein shake instead? Or tuna salad, or nuts or chicken soup? Or scrambled eggs?
just some thoughts :)

We went to Wild Oats and bought some Ezekial bread. It is made "the way God told the Jews to make bread". It claims to have all of the amino acids and stuff. It's not fluffy at all, but it tastes pretty good. Check out the healthy/all natural foods stores in your area.

Funny you say that! Before I could eat soooooo much bread as well! :surprised: I didn't need anything on it, just plain crunchy bread (the darker the better!).
I make my own bread so I know it's healthy (lots of cereals and protein powder) and now I cut the bread into 8 small pieces and put it directly in the freezer when done.
Ok, sometimes I take two pieces but it's REALLY nothing comparing to what I could eat (I could eat the whole bread and feel bloated and bad for the rest of the day! :( )
