I need a good substitute exersize for squats. I can't get my hand back to hold the bar comfortably on my shoulders. Machines (hacksquat) is OK, no problems.
I had shoulder surgery last December and am back in the gym (Anyone seen my pink weights?) but having trouble on a few things. Mainly squats.
Ideas? Suggestions? Tylenol?

You might want to try "Ball wall squats" with/without dumbells, or "Single leg hamstring kickbacks".
Hope those help you.

I'll try the ball squats. I've found that dumbell squats are OK, too.
And, yeah, front squats I can do OK; just don't get the same...feeling, you know?
And what, pray tell, are "zechular squats"??
Now I really feel stoopit!
