Hi all!
I currently work a full time job and attend school in the evening Mon-Thurs. I am reaching out the the FT peps for some help.
I get up at 6am, clock in at work at 7:30 work till 4:30, start school at 6pm, leave school at 10pm. go to bed at about 11pm. Sleep till 6 and do it all over agian. I know with that as a schd. when do I study. Thats the easy part, I'm studing for computers, and my day job was kind enough to make sure that I sit in front of one for eight hours every waking day. so I study/work for eight hours. I just can't really leave my cube.
My question is does anyone have any ideas on getting in quick/short(very short) workouts? And should I be eating a lot of veggies and cutting back on meat?
I'm open for any advise. I would like to lose 20 lbs by first of the year. If possiable.
thanks,
Phat Tom

Hello
get one of those pedimeters (things that count how many steps you take) & see how much you are walking as you are now.
Park your car as far from the office/class room as you can walk the rest of the way - how much time do you have during lunch? I used do the slim-fast shake & take a walk during that time. I'm doing atkins now & that is working for me.
I would lift on week-ends upper body one day - lower the next. Make sure you are getting enough water

I park fairly close to the office/school, as they both have very small parking lots. If I was to park at the last row at either, it would only add like two car lengths. I know every little bit helps. So I will start that tomorrow. For lunch I get 1 hour and am 9 out of ten times working/studying right through it.
What do you guys think about this....
During the week, carry some small dumbells in the car and do some small curls and such in the car right before class/work.
then on Sat/Sun, do a good workout. (1 day upper, 1 day lower)
do situps right before sleeping. and try to get a quick walk/jog (10-15 min) before going to work.
Will this work?????
Also, what about food? I know I need to do 6 small meals a day with both pro and carbs. But if I'm not working out that hard/much to burn what all I take in, should I back down on the amount of cals?
PLEASE HELP PHAT TOM!!!!:(

Why don't you get up at 5am instead of 6am? That would give you time to work out every morning before going to work. I can't recommend the little dumbbells, you should be lifting heavy and often. As far as what foods to eat, there is a ton of advice regarding that on the nutrition board. Welcome to FT and good luck!
