Do much of you go to the gym early in the morning (I'm talking around 5 A.M.)? I do cardio that early often, but I am usually not fully awake and I don't feel strong and ready for a workout. Any of you feel this way?

i was NEVER able to work out first thing in the day. i would always go very late at night, kill myself in the gym, and then go home and go to bed. a 1am gym visit was not unusual....ugh!

Yeah mourning cardio sucks!!!!! I'm like rev8ball, the gym late at night works for me. Only downside is sometimes I'm still pumped from the gym to go to sleep.

I love running in the morning. It's very peaceful and it gives me energy, up until lunch time, when I feel like taking a long nap and maybe eating some honey.

I like to do cardio in the mornings and do my weight training in the afternoons or evening. I like to do cardio before I've had anything in my stomach, but when I weight train, I need the energy.

Every second morning (around 7 am) I do cardio, the other days I weight train. It's nice and quiet in the mornings and I'm lucky to be able to train in a closed gym (mine!) so nobody's there to bother me (or take my dumbells! ;-)
I have always loved the mornings.
When doing cardio I don't eat anything, but when I weight train I take a protein shake with water just before.
