The following posted under "null" for some reason, so I am posting it again under my name.

First, I'd like to stay this site is wonderful. Chockful of information, almost overwhelmingly so. I'm pretty excited.

I am back into working out and have a couple of questions:

1. I'm planning on doing cardio 4x/week and weights 3x/week. I used to work one body part a week a couple of years ago, but stopped for various reasons. My question is should I start up again doing that on a 3 day split, or should I do 3 days of a full body workout, or a upper/lower body split? I plan to do 3 sessions of cardio on separate days than the weights, with probably one light day of cardio after one of the weight training sessions.
2. Does it matter for someone like me (trying to lose about 20 pounds of bodyfat) when/what I eat after working out? I've read other threads but it was quite detailed and complicated for me. Different for cardio vs. weights?

Thanks for any input. :)

Hi Stinkerbell. Welcome! I agree with you – this is a great site and I’ve been finding it VERY informative and motivational.

I’m pretty new to this too, so I don’t have any good feedback regarding your question, but I’m sure somebody will have some input for you.

Good Luck!
