Okay so it's not THAT clever. My question is when to use, and not to use an Ez curl bar. Should I use it with all curls? I noticed that ft suggests using it on some exercises but not others. Are there side effects of using it too much? Also all I can tell that it does is isolate my forearms more and hurt less. Is there any other reason TO use it?

I think it might be prefrence, but I am not sure. I always use the straight bar, and rarely use the Ez bar. How about this "To ez the curl or straight the curl....that is the question...LOL

true..
the ezcurl bar will help with any wrist pains.. and for ezbar bicep curls.. you will hit the outer part of your biceps more than regular straight bar biceps curls.

So gains won't be as much as it would be with a straight bar?

I also use the curl bar when doing some back, shoulder and leg exercises (deadlifts, squats and presses).

Well the ezcurl is phenomenal for things like lying triceps, and and barbell tris. But it actually makes my forearms hurt like hell. And does it affect gains based on what Arnold said?

I don't think so. Actually, Arnold only suggests the targeting of the bicep muscle more effectively. I guess it all depends on the hand position when doing these exercises...although I would tend to actually have better form using the ezbar than the normal straight bar. Maybe it's just me...
