Did anyone watch the Oprah episode last week where Dr. Perricone, guarantees if you replace your daily coffee with green tea for 6 weeks, you will lose 10lbs regardless of whether you exercise or not. Any thoughts? I am now drinking green tea daily but do you really think I will lose 10lbs?

PURE BS! It will help in calorie burn because of a thermogenic action, but how can it/he guarantee. Had a debate last night with one of my friends who saw the program, and in my opinion...it's a farce. I have been using green tea for a while, but my fat loss isn't because of that.

Green tea is and should be drank first off for health reasons...it is loaded with antioxidants. It is the ECGC levels of green tea that seem to have anything to do with fat burn. This is minor at any level, and you will not see the results purported by the "hype" machines. It can be used as a stack to help support increased metabolic rate, and this will help you. But as a "fat burner" itself, forget it. You may indeed lose 10 lbs. though, if you cut out your water consumption!! LOL...tea is a diruetic, so you may well lose 10 lbs. of water weight.:big_smile:
