Ok so i am new to this community im only 15 years old but i want to start to train i have already completed a week of 5 day training. I am also very on the skinny due to puberty streching me up and not out. So i have been taking the mega gain or whatever protien shakes every morning and night but when i go to school all i can ever buy is junk food from the vending machines and cafeteria so i was wondering what i should be eating. should i bring 10 protien bars and eat a peanut butter sandwich every lunch?? or is there some other better way to gain some pounds?

thanks for all the help i find this website is a great motivator and if you ever need a redesigned website gimme a hallar because im very good at that :)

okay well im no expert but i did have the same problem as you, first off you dont need to bring like 10 protien bars with you, second of all bringing a penut butter sandwhich for lunch is good for you and it will also save you money instead of wasting it on junk food. just try to get you or your parents whichever to prepare a lunch for school, get a sandwich and some friuts or veggies and some other food that is good for you. Just try to stay off the junk food, it will help save money so it will be good in 2 ways!

Try keeping beef jerky with you, there are all kinds of flavors and it is about 12g of protein per serving and only 80 calories, 7g carbs. Of course it is high in sodium. I am trying to lose weight and bring it with me to avoid skipping meals, but in your case, it will help you avoid the junk food and you can keep in in one of your folders as it isn't too bulky. There are some great recipes for homemade protein bars that can help you bulk up if you go to the nutrition forum. Good luck.
