Hey guys, I've got kind of a silly question but I just want to know the smartest thing to do in this situation. I work at a garden shop that will be selling christmas trees and starting next week and it will be tough labor six days a week. Should I just keep lifting heavy and up my protein and calories to compensate for the abnormal work or what would you suggest to help me maintain muscle during this time? Will I be able to make gains during this time? Thanks

Yes you will be able to make gains in this time as long as you eat the burned calories during work. Yes you should still lift heavy also. Don't worry about losing muscle, as long as you still eat the calories that you burned you will still be able to gain lean muscle mass. You could up the protein intake, but carbs will do just as good.

thanks DX, Yeah I guess I'll just add a load of calories to compensate for the extra work, and make sure to shovel in the carbs throughout the workday. Hopefully I'll still have the energy to workout when I get home. Thanks again

continue to lift heavy and consume more calories to compensate for higher workload...the workouts should give you energy...especially if you train in the morning..
