Yes, make sure you are getting enough water before and during your workout. Also workout in a well ventilated room, and watch your breathing carefully.

Usually, "seeing stars" and getting dizzy is a prelude to passing out and passing out is usually due to your brain not getting oxygen. I would think, therefore, that your brain probably isn't getting enough oxygen during your lifts. Are you holding your breath alittle too long? If you have been pushing yourself, I take that to mean you are using heavier weights that you are used to... you are probably (maybe you don't realize it) holding your breath as you strain to lift that extra-normal weight. I agree with Cain that you should watch your breathing carefully.

Welcome to the world of hardcore training!! I live for that exact feeling. After I do a set of squats, I actually enjoy the feeling of the room spinning a bit and seeing stars. It has to do with two things: 1. your blood pressure is elevated during heavy lifts; and 2. there is a huge demand for oxygen and nutrients in your legs when you lift heavy, so a lot the blood in your body is rushing to your legs. If the blood is in your lower extremeties, it can't carry a sufficient amount of oxygen to your brain. I know guys who have literally passed out after a heavy set of squats, but there is no real damage done. I wouldn't worry about it unless you get to the point where you blackout. That would be a good time to rest a bit.

get used to it sweeny. hard leg days will always bring those little stars to the party. like mentioned before, drink lots of water or sip on some gatorade. learn to live with it though.
