Not so long ago I posted a message saying how my BMI was low and I had a very skinny upper body and a flabby tummy and love handles. And therefore I couldn't diet anymore because I wasn't losing any weight from my tummy I was only losing it from my upper body such as my back, shoulders, chest, and arms. I was advised to do weight lifting and have a diet high in protein with only complex carbs and my fat intake was to be kept to under 30g a day, my calorie intake was to be 1800 calories. Since then i have seen an improvement, I have lost an inch from my tummy, however i think i have also burnt away even more fat from my upper body in doing so. On my back i can see all of my bones, when I move my arms I can see the bones moving in my back. I'm not dieting, I’m keeping my calories up, I’m simply trying to burn away my belly through weight training and cardio. Why is my body still burning fat from my upper body? If i continue to weight lift is there a chance that my back will build up again? At the moment it looks really anorexic. I just wanna look lean not anorexic.
I have one more question, what about women who manage to get there body fat percentage down to say 15% would you be able to see all there bones as well or would it fill out with muscle so you couldn’t see any bones?
Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Unfortunately it is not possible to decide where you will lose fat from - it is different for each individual, and sounds like your body burns upper body fat before tummy fat.
If I were you, I would do plenty of back exercises to increase muscle on my back, and look less bony. It may also help to strengthen core and abdominal muscles, as although this won't burn more abdominal fat, it may improve the appearance of your midsection, especially if you are quite lean anyway.
As for your question about body fat percentage, the answer would be dependent on how much muscle the person had - you could have one person at 15% who had little muscle and little fat, whose bones would show - you could have another person at 15% who had a lot of muscle, whose bones wouldn't show.

If you go to the top of the screen, click on "health resources", then click on "exercise resources" you will find the link to back and trapezius, and on the third page are specific back exercises.
