Okay, my gym has changed franchises. They were Gold's...but now are "Planet Fitness." There's a lot of stuff about being a "judgement free zone." But, here's the kicker...they seem to be taking out a lot of the free weights. They have left one flat, one decline and one inclined bench. The plate loaded leg press is gone (I love that thing) and some other stuff is out the door as well. There will be no more aerobic classes, either. Anyone ever heard of this company? The one good thing is my monthly fee has been cut in half to $19.98. Comments? Observations?

Hmmmm, sounds like they are taking a lot of the good stuff away! Never heard of them, was it a "GOLD'S GYM"? Are all of them doing that? I would just go ask someone what the heck they are doing and why!

Doesn't seem to be at them all. I think the franchise renewal came up and they went with someone else. I'm going to try and ask more tonight.

if they take too much out, start a petition to save the free weights lol

I'm sure others inthe gym like free weights, and will join you in the fight.

IF not its what your looking for, join somwhere else if you can.

They should let you out of your contract. You signed up for a Gold's membership.

The first thing I did when I joined the Gold's gym was get a travel pass. My pass is good until July of 05. My gym recently ended their contract with Gold's, but I still got that travel pass! When I am traveling I find the Gold's and go workout.
