What kind of exercises should one use for the upper chest? I have a hard time trying to get the upper chest to respond to my regular exercises.

I like inlcline dumbell presses because I can go a bit lower down and get a better stretch across my chest at the bottom of the movement... but again you should vary things every now and again.. some flyes and barbell presses like 7707 suggested should help a lot.. check the muscle targeting section under ft Exercise Resources to help you get an idea of different exercises that target that area.. and maybe add the special chest mass program to your exercise profile if it isn't in there already...

And why not doing push ups while keeping your legs on a bench and your head down? Great exercise for the upper chest and it feels good to vary. Otherwise inclined bench presses or flyes is a good alternative.

Philia2 Ive tried doing pushups with my feet on my bench and my head down,it warms me up for my Incline presses,I think a great idea is to read Arnold swarzennegers book on body building,it will tell you everything you need to know.
