This is a no calorie spray that tries to be like butter and taste wise does pretty good. I have a question about the indgredients in this wannabe butter. It says that it is colored with Beta Carotene, and Vitamin A. Does this mean that is has Beta Carotene and Vitamin A in it? As some of you know, I have a sort of yellow color in my skin. Doctors can't find out what the problem is after blood tests and all. I was thinking that this may be what the cause is. Is there a possibility?
By the way, I don't eat lots of Vitamin A or take any multivitamins or carrots and stuff like that.

while vitamin a toxicity/saturation can cause your skin to have a yellowish/orange color, i highly doubt you would be getting enough from spray butter to create that kind of intake. are you sure you don't eat lots of vitamin a? vitamin a is found in places you might not expect, i.e. broccoli, fish oil, liver and eggs. it's also in yellow/orange fruits and vegetables. some milk also has added vitamin a that you might not be accounting for.
another thing -- your body can store 2 year's worth of vitamin a in your liver, so you also might want to consider that.
off topic, you should no that it's not actually "no calorie." it is barely under .5 kcal per spray, so they round down. use 20 squirts of the stuff and you're actually getting about 10 calories.

i know a girl who puts it on everything...bread, pasta, chicken, peanut butter, apples...she probably uses 175 sqirts in a day, no exaggeration. she would go through a bottle a week thinking it was no-cal, but my friend and i calculated it and there are like 3,200 calories in a bottle of the stuff. this being said, it's not completely unlikely that someone out there uses 20 squirts of the stuff.

My mom and I used to use it, and I found that if you use more than say 4-5 squirts, it just starts to taste like chemicals. I can say the same thing about the lovely low carb breakfast bar I just ate! :laugh:

well, I do eat lots of eggs, milk and tuna. about a can a day of tuna. Will this cause the yellowish skin? I don't eat excessive amounts of brocolli either.

I didn't know that the spray had calories in it! I go through about a bottle a week. I'll stop using it. Are there any more things that say they have 0 calories but in reality they do have calories?

packaged tuna has 0% of your rda of vitamin a, but i believe tuna steaks are a good source.
