I have been reading that when you build muscle under fat tissue, the fat will bulk out...if I keep weightlifting, will this fat eventually burn off? I am talking about my abs and also flab under my arms...I notice my arms are harder but seem big.

Keep working out, eating right and doing cardio and the fat will come off. When you first start, it takes some time for your body to rev up it's metabolism and trust that this isn't a fluke.
Make sure you are eating enough, so your body won't be hoarding calories.

Thank you! I hope so.I eat more now than I have ever eating and keeping track of my fat intake and trying to get calories and carbs and protein up there, it is very hard to add protein and carbs without raising my fats....how can I better do this, I just started taking the whey protein after my workouts.

What are you eating and when? I can't tell you how to keep your fats down if I don't have more specific info.

asimmer, I eat every 2 to three hours, high protein, turkey, tuna, meats mostly. Then I have a Slim fast for breakfast and lunch, and sometimes dinner. I eat english muffins, turkey and tuna sanwiches, yogurt. I take whey protein drinks after workouts. I eat everything, oranges, celery, anything clean I can find in my fridge:)Just to keep up on calories, protein and carbs, and trying to keep fats lower that 39 grams.

Drop the limfast and have veggies, brown rice or oatmeal and lean protein instead, or get a quality protein shake.
