Day 1....12/6/04

Ok, before I put down my workout, wanted all to know that I am testing CEE creatine by Serious Nutrition. Some history, I stopped all prior creatine useage 3 weeks ago, so should be almost completely "clean".

My current supplements are vitamins of course, but as far as bb, protien(dex and malto pwo), glutamine, flax oil, and ZMA before bed. And food. I am on a semi bulking diet, (lean mass, very clean) right at 500 cal. over maintenance. So, today was my first workout using CEE. The bottle says to take 4 capsules 30-60 minutes pre workout, and 4 more 8-12 hrs. later, which I will make at 8 hrs. I followed directions pre workout, worked out to right at 45 min. before my workout. So, this falls within perfect timing. I weighed in this morning pre workout at 169, had my wife do a cold arm measurement and it was 16 1/4.

My workout consisted of triceps/biceps/forearms today. Not alot to report other than seemed to have a bit of zip today in the gym, which is not bad for lack of sleep last night. (In fact, hardly slept at all..lots of tossing and turning) Kind of interesting, not of course ready to promote it as an effect of the CEE, but made me think. Anyway, on to the workout. I will say I had a very good pump in both triceps and biceps, indeed very good, and as mentioned, seemed to have been able to do more, but contained myself. Here is how the workout went...

Straight bar upper cable pressdowns
Sets....160x15,160x16,170x15,170x15

Lying skull crushers
Sets....80x8,80x8,90x6,90x5

Upper cable extensions
sets....100x15,130x15,140x12

Decline close grip benches
Sets.....185x6,205x3,205x3

Dip machine(overload end)
sets....75x10,80x10,85x10

Standing bicep curls(ez bar already made up)
Sets....100x10,110x6,110x6,110x5(really started to "feel" a pickup here, was ready to do more. Usually wore out by now...very interesting)

Incline dumbbell curls(seated)
sets...50x7,50x7

Standing cable curls
Sets....150x8,160x6

Hammer bar curls(plate weight)
Sets....50x10,60x9,60x9

Machine curls(overload end)
Sets....45x7,60x6

Reverse forearm curls(preacher bench)
sets...35x10,55x8

Biceps were so pumped, hard and tight. They even looked big to me, and they never look big to me!!

Will keep an every day update on workouts with the CEE for any who care to follow.

Day 2 of CEE(Creatine Ethyl Ester)12/07/04

Ok, bottle directions state on off days do 4 capsules in the morning, followed by 4 capsules 8-12 hrs. later. So, I did them about 10 am. this morning, this would be in keeping with my normal workout day schedule, and will do my second dose at around 7 or 8 pm.

Though today is a rest day, I will be however doing some cardio before work, have not done any in over 2 weeks, and will do a 30 minute 70% HR session, which I will be leaving to do in about 1 hr.

Thought it might be a good idea to state some of my percieved goals with this creatine. For one, I regularly do 110 lb. dumbbell benches now, and would love to do the 120's at some point. Our dumbbells go up to only 125, and this would be the ultimate goal, but will settle for 120's with regularity. I would also like to increase my inclines, I have been getting 95's now, and would love to do 100's. 5 lbs. may not seem like alot, but inclines have traditionally been one of my hardest lifts, so I am being more realistic here.

I am doing over 900lb. on the leg press, 910 to be exact, and would love to see that number approach 950. Again, these are "wanted" long term goals, and hoping this CEE will help me approach the end results I desire.

So, in order, here are my desires...

1) 120 lb. dumbbell bench from 110's

2) 100 lb. dumbbell inclines from 95's

3) 950 lb. leg press from 910

4) any added shoulder pressing strength will be nice also.

5) and of course any size gains that would result from more overload of the muscle with heavier weights

You can follow my progress toward these goals in this log.

Day 3 of CEE(Creatine Ethyl Ester)12/08/04

Extremely pleased with workout strength this morning. As mentioned above, one of my goals, #4, is more shoulder pressing power. On seated dumbbell militaries, I have been doing 70's on a regular basis for 6 reps or so. I have done 80's before, but with a spot and help(pretty much), and that was 1 or 2. Today, I knocked off not only one, but 2 sets of 4 each with the 80's! I then have been folowing this up with standing olympic bar militaries with 135 to failure, which by then after the db's is normally 2. Well, today I knocked off on them 2 sets of 4 each also!!:big_smile:

The rest of the workout was concentrated on isolation type bodybuilding movements. Very productive workout, lots of energy.

I am told the CEE gets into the cell very quickly, no loading of course, and is fully absorbed. I know that if my results so far from this stuff, it is a winner, and I am pleased.

Here is how the workout went...

Seated dumbbell presses
Sets....70x5,75x5,80x4,80x4:big_smile::dumbbell:

Standing olympic militaries
Sets...135x4,135x4:big_smile:

Cybex press single arm plate loaded(each arm)
Sets...25x10

Standing calf machine military presses(my calf machine has a handle on the sides of the shoulder pads. Stand flat footed and press up with a neutral grip)
Sets....150x5,165x4,165x4

Cable medial delt raise
sets....50x10,60x8

Seated delt raise
Sets....95x10,115x10,125x9,130x6:dumbbell:(this was a first for me too)

Cable crossovers rear delts
Sets...50x10,40x12

Seated machine rear delts
Sets....130x10,140x9

Dumbbell shrugs
Sets....105x15,120x14

Followed this up with a nice ab workout.

Day 4 of CEE(Creatine Ethyl Ester)12/07/04

Well, nothing really spectacular to report today, I overslept and was rushed to get my workout in in about 45 min., so took even less rest time than normal. Though in retrospect, my workout for these variables was extremely good. I matched last weeks back workout, and even surpassed a few lifts, for instance on lat pulldowns iso lat rows, all with mostly less rest time. So, in that way, it was extremely good. I will say I had an excellent back pump, felt like the lats were really full today.

Here is how the workout went, with about 1 min. rest time on average between sets.

Wide grip chins
Sets....14,12,10,8

Rotary lat fron pulldown
Sets....160x10,205x10,220x9,235x7

Close grip(neutral) cybex lat pulldown
sets....170x10,180x10,190x8(way surpassed last week)

T bar rows(chest on pad)
sets....70x10,100x8,110x6(this also surpassed last week)

Iso lat high rows(like to grip this from the bar above the handles, not using the handles at all...feel more of a "pull")
Sets....180x10,200x10,220x10

Iso lat low rows
Sets.....230x10,250x9

Hypers
Sets.....BWx20,BW+25x15,BW+25x15

Was very pleased with this, with the short amount of time I had.

Day 5 of CEE(Creatine Ethyl Ester)12/10/04 (I deleted above post due to wrong date I put in, no way to edit it)

Well, today was interesting. Not sure what I expected. I took last week off legs due to my right knee giving me problems and wanted to rest it.

So, I went in today expecting to take it a bit slow, but really had a sound workout. Turned out not bad, matched 2 weeks ago high on leg press(did not surpass it), and then followed up pretty strong on prone hack squats. It was a very satisfying workout, my legs were pumped, and again pants felt like they had just come out of the dryer! I was very heartened first off at no knee pain of significance, and then secondly by still matching 2 weeks ago. Here is how the workout went...

Leg presses
Sets....590x10,680x10,770x10,860x5,910x4

Prone hack squats(lower platform, and these were full range)
Sets....165x10,180x10,195x7,195x4

Leg extensions
sets....95x10,100x8,100x8

Superset Adductors with Abductors
Sets....140x15,150x15/140x15,150x15

Lying leg curls(plate loaded, overload middle)
Sets.....70x10,95x4,95x4

Standing calf machine
Sets.....495x20,505x20,515x15

Day 7 of CEE(Creatine Ethyl Ester)12/12/04

Well, I can die a happy man!! One of my top goals, actually my top 2 were realized today. Actually, in the list my #2 should have been my #1. I achieved both today, but the inclines mean much more. This is a lift I have not hidden my lackluster performance in. Always been a thorn in my side, it was not long ago, I would never have dreamed of attempting 100's on inclines, let alone actually really attempt it and do it! My first time today, the left dumbbell was off on my grip, did not have it even so it was bit unbalanced, and I really struggled to get it up with a big spot. I rested about 3 minutes, and determined to do it again. Got my grip right, and a good spot up. I actually did it twice!! And, this was after doing 120's on the flat bench and a couple more added sets of Hammer strength flat bench. Chest was very pumped, and it felt great. Got some good stretching inbetween sets also.

Flat dumbbell benches
Sets....85x9,100x6,110x3,115x3,120x2:big_smile::)

Hammer strength flat bench(also another PR)
Sets....200x8,250x3,250x3:big_smile:

Incline dumbbells
Sets....70x7,80x4,90x3,100x1???,100x2:big_smile::dumbbell::big_smile:

Hammer strength inclines
Sets....200x5,220x4

Decline barbell(was pleased with this, after all I did prior)
Sets...185x6,225x3,250x2

Swiss ball flies
sets....50x8

Followed up with a nice ab workout.

Day 8 of CEE(Creatine Ethyl Ester)12/13/04

Well, today started my second week of using this product. So, today was triceps and biceps, right where I started last week. Very good day, nothing really new, I did have a bit more curling strength I thought, and also did well on triceps, noticeably my power rack extensions followed by incline barbell extensions. This is a tough follow up, two power movements.

The most noticeable thing was my extrodinary arm pump. They felt huge, and really felt worked. In fact, still feel them as I type this. Here is how the day went.....

Upper cable pressdowns
Sets....150x15,160x15,170x17

Power rack extensions
Sets....85x11,95x6,95x5,105x5(3 rest/pause)

Incline barbell extensions
sets.....90x9,90x7,90x6:dumbbell:

Decline dumbbell extensions
Sets...30x10,30x10,35x6

Plate loaded Dip machine(overload end)
Sets...90x10,90x10,90x10(this was a noticeable improvement)

Standing ez bar curls
Sets....100x9,110x7,120x3,(120x2,80x6)

Standing preacher curls
Sets.....80x8,90x6

Seated incline curls
Sets......50x7,55x4

Standing alternate hammer curls
Sets....40x8,40x8,40x7

Reverse preacher curls
Sets....30x12,60x6

As mentioned, arms were extremely pumped. Feel a bit of early DOMS right now. I love it!!

Normally, today would be a day off. I like to the day off after a good arm blast. Personal situation this week does not warrant this, have dentist appointment tomorrow( 2 of them) and got the feeling :big_smile:I won't be working out afterwards. So I switched my rest day.

And, I hit shoulders today. Now, I am a person that is very hard on himself. I want my workouts to be superb all the time, and in this vein of thought process I guess I sometimes have the tendency to classify a workout as poor if I don't "feel" it. Looking back at todays workout, it actually was pretty good on paper, just didn't satisfy me in the gym. Even though progress was made(actually went up on a couple things), I still didn't have that "feeling" I like today. Did not get in the groove till late in the workout. Here is how it went....

Seated dumbbell press
Sets....70x6,70x5,75x5,80x4

Standing military presses(olympic bar)
Sets....135x2,135x2,140x1,145x1(decided to keep pushing here, just for grins. Could have probably gone up another 5 lbs., but after doing seated presses first thought I better give it a rest. I really only do these after seated just to show myself I still can!)

Cybex seated stationary press
Sets....110x8,130x4,(140x2,100x3,70x7)

Calf machine military raise(handles on sides of shoulder pads)
Sets....150x5,165x3

Cable medial delt raise
Sets....50x10,60x8

Seated machine delt raise
sets....100x10,130x8,130x8

Seated rear delt flies
sets....130x10,140x10,150x6

Dumbbell shrugs
Sets....105x15,120x14

A word about supplements here.....supplements are just that, and should be viewed as such. No supplement...creatine(contrary to what many think), or anything will automatically add 10 lbs. to you, or 5 more reps on something. YOU have to put forth the effort first with diet and hard work, and then the supplement may aid you if it is quality. That being said, there are supplements that work, and junk supplements. I have done alot of legwork over the years(spent lots of money:big_smile:) on stuff that promises big results and delivers nothing. I can honestly say that this CRE2 matrix is a worthwhile expenditure in my opinion, if you put in your part of the equation(diet and work), it will yeild you some nice results. No magic, but solid results.

Day 11 of CEE(Creatine Ethyl Ester)12/16/04

Many times in the past I have not been satisfied with my back workout. Today was not one of them. Very nice back workout today. Far exceeded some prior highs, such as pull downs, rows, etc. and this was after adding additional chins to the beginning of my routine. My back felt very wide, my shirt felt tight. Very happy with the workout, even felt like I could have added more, but restrained myself.

Wide grip chins
Sets....15,14,11,9

Rotary lat pd's
Sets....175x10(started out higher than normal!),205x9,235x6,235x6,250x3(PR on last 2 sets)

Close neutral grip pulldowns
Sets....170x10,180x10,190x9

Hammer strength Iso lat front pd's

Day 12 of CEE(Creatine Ethyl Ester)12/17/04

Got some good news and some bad news. The bad news first....Well, kind of feel like an idiot. All this time on leg day I have been figuring my weight wrong. I was putting down 910, when in reality it was only 860! What I did was add in the leg press weight at the beginning, and for some unexplained reason added it in again at the top weight!

The good news is that today I added that weight and did do 910! So, I really did improve by 50 lbs., even though my past recordings will not reflect it. And it was tough, in my goals I had 950 for a goal, but that was when I thought I was already doing 910. With the way 910 felt today, don't think I will be making 950 for a while...but, I will keep pushing. So, here is how the workout went, with the correct weights!!:big_smile:

Leg presses(plate loaded squat press)
Sets...590x10,680x10,770x10,860x5(this is where I messed up before),910x3:big_smile:PR baby!

Upright hack squats(full range of movement..bottom out each rep)
Sets...180x10,200x10,220x8,230x5

Leg extensions(overload end)
Sets....90x10,100x10,110x10

Leg extensions(overload beginning)
sets...90x8,90x8

Leg extensions(overload middle)
Sets....90x7

Superset adductors with abductors
Sets....140x15,150x15/140x15,150x15

Lying leg curls
Sets....90x10,105x6,120x3

Standing calf raise
Sets....495x20,505x20,515x17

I will say I was pretty cooked after this workout, my recovery drink was more than welcome, in fact, bought an extra drink to add some carbs today. I really felt the need. I was pretty drained, legs were pumped and felt great. I am still feeling it now, and it is 4 hrs. later.

Day 13 of CEE(Creatine Ethyl Ester)12/18/04

My analysis of this product, basically half way through is this. I know things will have to level off, but even if just the results I have cranked out from the first 13 days were/are all, I have to give a thumbs up to this product. This in my opinion far outdoes any creatine monohydrate I have ever done, and I may have tried all of them!! LOL...seriously, I have done the cheap stuff, and high quality stuff like Beverly's Creatine plus with phosphates(many of you who know me on this board know I am a fan of quality, and believe Bev makes a quality product).

OK, for today, after torturing my legs yesterday, today is much deserved day off. I may stop on the way home and do some light cardio, a 30 minute session of mild HR. I do want to keep up with it, have only done it once this month so far, and really want to do a once per week thing anyway while adding calories.

Day 14 of CEE(Creatine Ethyl Ester)12/19/04

The difference of a workout on paper as opposed to the gym can be so different. Though I virtually matched last chest workout's records, it was another one of those days that the intensity just wasn't as it should have been. Pretty strange. I really started off good and strong, pushed the early reps out with purpose, first working set with 85's and second working set with 100's went very well. It was after this I kind of "lost" it. Again, on paper, the weights were virtually identical, record setting, but the feel was different from last week. More "exciting" last week if that makes sense.

On a side note, I had a very low carb day yesterday, mostly a cutting type carb day. This may have had alot to do with it, as I pushed legs with a record Friday, and may not have really recovered adequately. Here is how the workout went....

Flat dumbbell bench
Sets....85x8,100x6,110x4,120x1:big_smile:,110x3

Hammer strength seated chest press
Sets.....200x7,230x5,240x4

Incline dumbbells
Sets.....70x7,80x5,90x3,100x2

Hammer strength inclines
Sets....200x4,200x4

Decline barbell
Sets....185x6,225x2:(,250x1:(

Swiss ball fies
Sets....50x8

Followed with a decent ab workout.:dumbbell:

Day 15 of CEE(Creatine Ethyl Ester)12/20/04

Interesting day today. I had nice strength. It was arm day, and I had such a bicep pump after just 3 sets it was almost scary! I mean they were pumped so much, it actually hurt(for lack of a better word).

I then did my first set of Preachers, and I had to just hang my arms by my sides and let it dissapate. I don't know if I have ever had a pump like that before(and I have had some good ones). Anyway, nice arm workout, very satisfied with the day, much better "feeling" than yesterday.

Upper cable pressdowns

Day 16 of CEE(Creatine Ethyl Ester)12/21/04

Today is another one of those easy ones, nothing to report, nice, quiet day off. Love to rest after those brutal arm days, especially since the next 2 workouts heavily involve triceps and then biceps. It was especially brutal when I was doing both of them together(shoulders and back without a rest day between arms).

For some reason, looking forward to a very good shoulder day tomorrow. Don't know why, just got a hunch(this usually is a good thing for me when I really am planning my attack early). I always do plan my workouts, but sometimes I really focus on it, and get kind of psyched up the day before, this uusally translates to a good day.

One more note to the above, I meant to weigh in at the halfway mark, 15 days, but didn't. I am going to weigh in tomorrow morning before training, this will be the exact same time as the first weigh in on day one.

With my diet being sound and a calorie surplus, and with the heavier weights being thrown around with the help of the CEE, I am sure I have gained a bit. Should be interesting.

Day 17 of CEE(Creatine Ethyl Ester)12/22/04

Before getting into the workout, I was pleased with my weigh in. A solid 3 lb. gain, not bad for just over 2 weeks, and right on par with mostly muscle. Not too fast of a gain at all.

The shoulder workout today went nicely, had a good shoulder burn and matched last weeks highs in seated presses, in fact in a way surpassed it, not in weight, but in amount of reps and sets with the same weight. "Felt" big and wide today. Medial delts felt great. Here is how the workout went...

Seated dumbbell press
Sets...70x6,80x5,80x4,(80x3,50x5)nice drop set to finish off

Standing military presses
Sets...135x3,(135x3,95x5)another nice single drop

Cybex rotary press(plate weight)
Sets...50x10,70x5,80x4,(80x4,50x2)nice little strip

Calf machine raise(neutral grip)
Sets....150x5,165x3,180x1/2 :( could not get it all the way), 165x3

Dumbbell medial raises(these felt great, nice delt burn)
Sets....30x12,35x10

Machine lateral raises(very nice delt pump going now)
Sets...90x10,110x10,130x9

Bent over seated rear delt raise
Sets....45x15,45x15,45x15

Dumbbell shrugs
Sets....110x15,120x12

Day 19 of CEE(Creatine Ethyl Ester)12/24/04

Nice leg destruction today. Switched things up a bit, did upright hack squats first(full range of motion, could hear pins hit bottom and but was on floor on each and every rep:big_smile:)), and really burned them up with a medium width stance. Then went to leg presses, and did stict full reps with feet at bottom of pad and right next to each other. This really intensifies the quad sweep, and makes them much tougher than feet spread out. My legs took a good beating today, didn't want to drive home. Put the cruise control on!!

Upright hack squats
Sets....180x10,230x10,250x10,280x4,280x4(all very deep and full reps, no half way stuff!!:dumbbell::big_smile:)

Plate loaded squat press(feet low on pad and together)
Sets....590x10,680x6,730x6

Leg extensions(overload end)
Sets....90x10,100x12,120x10

Leg extensions(overload beginning)
Sets....90x10,100x8,100x8(static hold on last rep)

Superset Adductors and Abductors
Sets....140x15,150x15/140x15,150x15

Lying leg curls
Sets....90x10,105x6,120x3(partials to exhaustion)

Standing calf raises
Sets....495x20,505x20,515x20

Day 21 of CEE(Creatine Ethyl Ester)12/26/04

I had no spot today. So first off, did not attempt 100's on incline dumbbells.

This was a good test for many things, it really showed what I could do on my own. I was very pleased, say for instance incline dumbbells.

It was a few short months ago that 80's with a spot would have been a reason to get exicted. Today I did those without a spot, and even 90's. Even went to barbell inclines, I haven't done these in forever! So started out a bit slow, but really felt good. And that was after setting a personal record on decline benches of 275, and then doing flat dumbbell benches and power partials.

The power partials were cool, I set a bench in the power rack, set the spotter bars at just one notch above chest level, so I was coming very close to full reps, just not all the way down to the chest. Went up to 265 on these! Another PR.

It was a good workout, as well as enightening as to where I stand totally on my own. Here is how it went....

Decline barbell bench(not smith)
Sets....185x10,225x5,255x4,270x3PR ,275x2PR

Flat dumbbell bench
Sets....85x7,100x3,105x3,(95x4,70x4)

Power partials
Sets.....225x5,255x2,265x1PR

Incline dumbbells
Sets..70x7,80x4,90x3

Incline barbell(interesting here, haven't done these like I mentioned in forever!):)
Sets....155x5,185x3,185x3

Swiss ball flies
Sets.....50x8,50x6

Yep, with proper diet and effort put forth in the gym, this supplement will assist you well. As mentioned, it is not a miracle supplement that will add lbs. of muscle on its own, but if you put forth the pure effort, this supplement will greatly assist you.

In my opinion you will make faster gains, and more steady gains with this supplement than any regular creatine monhydrate. The absorbtion rate is almost immediate, as compared to loading with regular creatine. I would say especially if you are not doing any at all now, you will see almost immediate results.

Day 23 of CEE(Creatine Ethyl Ester)12/28/04

Started out very tentatively tday. Took it a bit easier today, my lower back was really bothering me and did not want to push or do anything stupid. No cheating, swinging the weight, just strict clean reps and stop.

Today was an arm blast, very nice. Again, extrodinary pump going on in the biceps, good in the triceps, but the biceps were almost overwhelmed.

Upper cable extensions
Sets....150x15,160x15,170x15,170x15

Power rack extensions
Sets....85x12,95x5,95x6,100x5(rested a bit longer)

Incline skull crushers(was very careful here, no spot and had to get the weight up without swinging it watching my lower back...cut these a bit short due to lower back)
Sets....90x5,90x4,90x4(really had a nice pump going on here though)

Single arm kickbacks(never really cared much for this exercise, did it simply for a switch)
Sets.....30x10,30x10

Seated dip machine(overload end)
Sets....90x10,100x10,100x10(hold each last rep in static contraction...oohhh, the burn!)

Reverse grip upper cable pressdowns
Sets....100x12,110x10

Standing bicep curls(really, really careful here with my reps)
Sets.....100x7,100x7,110x5,110x5

Single arm dumbbell preachers
Sets....35x10,35x7

Preacher machine(overload end)
Sets.....60x6,60x5

Preacher machine(overload beginning)
Sets....60x5,60x4

Preacher machine hammer grip
sets.....60x10,(60x8,50x4,30x6),60x9

Reverse preacher curls
Sets.....30x10,50x5,50x7

The reverse preachers for the forearms were the icing on the cake! Man, my arms were like spaghetti!

Day 24 of CEE(Creatine Ethyl Ester)12/29/04

Today was a day of ups and downs. First the downs, I was at first very dissapointed in my military presses. I did them first, and expected more. I did 135 for 3 clean reps, and then 145 for 2.

As mentioned, I was dissapointed. But, in retrospect as I look back, it was actually a reason to be up. I just did 135 for the first time about 4 weeks ago, and did it a couple times each workout just to see if I still could after doing dumbbells. It wasn't but a few weeks short weeks ago that 125 was a high for me. So, this really is progress. Now I will start to push the Olympic militaries and see where I can go with them.

Another upside to todays workout was total shoulder destruction!! I really nailed them good, have not had that kind shoulder burn in a while. I changed things up a bit, for example went to barbell shrugs for a change, and really surprised myself with the weight I was able to use. Also really pushed things on the neutral grip presses. In the end, very nice workout, really felt like I worked the shoulders well.

Military presses
Sets.....95x12,115x8,135x3,145x2,135x3

Seated rotary press(plate loaded)wide grip
Sets.....50x12,70x6,70x4

Neutral grip presses
Sets....70x6,80x4,80x4:dumbbell:

Behind the neck press(I did this kind of on a whim, don't normally ever do these. Just did them today for a bit of variation, really felt them with light weight)
Sets.....95x5,95x5,105x4

Dumbbell medial delt raises
Sets....30x12,30x10

Machine delt raises
sets.....90x10,110x10,130x9

Rear delt cable crossovers
Sets.....50x15,60x15

Rear delt seated fly machine(facing seat)
Sets....140x15,150x5(rear delts were cooked!)

Dumbbell shrugs
Sets....105x15

Barbell shrugs
Sets....225x15,275x12,315x7

Then did some calves...did seated and donkey, as on leg day I always do standing.

Seated calf raise(plate loaded)
Sets....135x20,180x18

Donkey calf machine
Sets....225x15,225x10

Thats it, very satisfying workout in the end, and my recovery drink was more than welcomed!!

Day 25 of CEE(Creatine Ethyl Ester)12/30/04

Today was back day, and I was very careful and deliberate in my movements. My lower back was in pretty extreme pain Monday, is why I skipped Monday arm day and moved it to Tuesday. Was very scary.

I went as heavy as I could with no cheat involved. It turned out to be a very nice back pump, and I was rather surprised. Followed this up with a nice ab workout.

On another note, I forgot to take my second dose of CE2 Matrix last night, kind of made me mad. Got out of my routine with being off work, and just kind of forgot it. Did take it this morning as scheduled before my workout though.

Wide grip chins
Sets....15,12,11,9

Rotary lat pulldowns
Sets.....160x10,205x10,235x6,250x4,250x4(actually a PR of sorts)

Cybex neutral grip pulldowns
Sets.....195x9,200x9(also a PR of sorts)

Seated rows(something different here, had to experiment with weight, started out way too low, but was very strict with the movement)
Sets.....130x10,150x10,170x10

Paramount rotary upper back row(also somethng new)
Sets.....115x10,145x12,160x10

Low cable rows(very delicate here, very, very careful with movement and weight)
Sets.....110x12,130x12

Hypers
Sets.....BWx15,BW+25x15

Low back hyperextension machine
Sets.....130x15,140x15

As mentioned, followed up with a nice ab workout.

Day 26 of CEE(Creatine Ethyl Ester)12/31/04

Pretty awesome leg day today. Before I get into it, just wanted to relay a gym incident. I went in intending to do prone(lying) hack squats first this time, then see how my back felt.

Well, there were 2 guys using it that I know in the gym(the one guy talks to me all the time asking questions, and is always moaning and groaning so you hear him all over the gym when doing sets). I never really watched him work out before, assumed he put the pedal to the medal by all his noise.

It is amazing how many folks really think they "know how" to work out. These guys let me work in with them, and I thought, ok. Nice rest period between sets. Well, these guys you know are "hardcore" , they argue about where to put their feet for 15 minutes. Then when they finally do do a set, they talk for 15 minutes between between sets. Geez, I just politely said, I am warmed up, I am going over to the squat press.

So, back to my workout, it was pretty good. As I said, I was a bit tentative on what I was going to do, and turned out great, actually set a couple PR's and matched my past PR's on leg press. I had an awesome leg pump.

I am coming to the last days of my CEE cycle, and will weigh in at the end and compare beginning weights and bodyweight with ending weights in both.

Today's workout.....

Prone hack squats(2 light warmups)
Sets...180x10

Plate loaded squat press
Sets....590x10,680x10,770x8,860x5 ,910x3(match last PR)

Upright hack squats
Sets....180x10,230x8,250x4 PR :dumbbell: not bad for after doing leg presses to the max first! Quads were smoking!

Leg extensions(#2 overload end)
Sets....90x10,100x10,110x10

Leg extensions(#3 overload beginning)
Sets....90x10,100x10

Leg extensions(#1 overload middle)
Sets....90x9

Superset Abductors with Adductors
Sets....140x15,150x15/140x15,150x15

Lying leg curls(was a bit afraid here to go too high, did not want to involve my lower back at all...it has a tendency to play a large part as you go up in weight)
Sets.....90x10,105x7

Standing calf raises
Sets.....495x20,520x20 PR ,520x14 PR:dumbbell::dumbbell:

I was limping around the gym pretty good today. Legs were fully pumped.

Day 27 of CEE(Creatine Ethyl Ester) 1/01/05

Well, here it is a brand new year. Starting it off with a much deserved day off. (had a 4 day in a row workout this week due to scheduling and lower back concerns). So, today I am just kicking back literally, will probably watch a little football, maybe rent a couple movies. Chill and eat!! Took my CEE dose this morning, and will follow this evening with my second.

Would like to note at this point a satisfaction with the product...in looking back to all other creatine products I have done, the results with this were much better in comparison, and for those who worry about water retention with creatine, it is virtually non existant with this product.

Day 28 of CEE(Creatine Ethyl Ester) 1/02/05

Last chest workout of this bottle of CRe2, was curious as to where I was going to end up. Let me say right out front that I have never, ever done a 225 incline. In my entire lifting time, I have never done it. Well, I cannot say that any more!!:dumbbell:

Ok, so the start of a New Year, a change in workout strategies, goals, etc. Last year  I acheived my dream(while on this same CRe2 cycle, of doing a 100 lb. dumbbell incline. Now it is time to concentrate on barbell for a while. As mentioned, never have done a 225 incline. I did it today, was so excited I just racked the bar...didn't try another till my next set, which I did not get, but probably could have done 2 on the first one!! Felt strong today, with a nice workout changeup to boot.

Again, very pleased with the CRe2 product, well worth the investment.

Incline barbell
Sets.....185x5,185x6,225x1 PR :dumbbell:, 225x1(with help),205x4

Incline partials on smith machine
Sets.....225x6,255x3

Decline barbell(nice to do this weight after doing inclines first)
Sets....185x8,225x6(felt great on this set!),250x2,260x2

Dumbbell bench(not bad weight on these after all the prior work!)
sets....85x6,100x4,110x2 :(

Barbell bench(for some power movement to see what I had left in the tank! Felt great)
Sets....225x4

Hammer strength flat bench
Sets....230x3

Dumbbell pullovers(full stretch, resist stretch up)
Sets....75x10,80x9

To top things off today, I had some guy ask me how long it takes to look like that(me). Always a good feeling.

Did a great ab workout following this chest workout, really killed the abs good today. Also did some nice stetching between sets on chest work also. Really felt those.

Well, I always will give an honest feedback. I do not like to mislead folks in any way. I will give this CRe2 from Serious Nutrition Solutions a thumbs up.

Here is a link to one source for the product, there are many. http://www.dpsnutrition.net/product_information.asp?number=SN022&back=yes&dept=1047&last=1047

Day 29 of CEE(Creatine Ethyl Ester) 1/03/05

Well, today was actually my last workout day of this CEE cycle log. Tomorrow is a day off, so here are final results.

I weighed in this morning before training same as the first day. A total 5 lb. gain. Not bad. Will get some measurements tomorrow morning when arms are cold, to compare this.

In essence, I am indeed very pleased with the product, and would recommend it as a quality supplement. (that is the key word, you still have to put forth your effort, but if you do, this will help you. No magic, just a good addition to a quality training style). If anyone is interested following this log in where to obtain the product, I listed a source in the above post. You may check your favorite retailer.

Ok, the last arm workout. Kind of odd, this is the workout I started out with.

I would like to mention here that my wife did a cold arm measurement this morning, and I have indeed gained another 1/8 in. in my arms! It was her idea, I had a tee shirt on I got for Christmas, and she was looking at my arms and said she wanted to measure them, they sure looked bigger. 16 3/8 ...woo hoo! At 5'7" height, looks good. And that is cold. I am impressed.
