Way to go tajamul! Looks like you are doing alright. I wish it were as easy to have things provided for you as you make it seem, however it will take a little more digging my friend. For starters abcbodybuilding.com has some excellent diet information. It lists mass diets and how to add poundage by increasing your intake, and ones for scaling back. It even breaks down the meals too. I would check that site out, it is the best one I have found so far. Is the guy who wrote that article for real?!?sure, maybe you could eat that much if you are on gear but far out! teens read this stuff and beleive it? on the other hand, you wouldnt eat like that forever and then when you decrease your cals I guess you'd then lose the fat huh? are there any ppl out there who have gone on a get big diet? and have the pics of their progress? I want to do it but I have a fear getting fat and being unable to lose it or just getting fat but not strong... |

Well Mike I wouldn't have suggested it if I didn't think it worked. I currently use it and have gained about 12 pounds of mass since finding the diet here at ft in another post. It really isn't that hard to do if you can dedicate yourself to doing it. I had already learned the secret to eating many smaller meals instead of 3 large ones, that sped my metabolism up big time. Then after hearing about this diet I added more calories to each sitting and have kept gaining weight. If you read the article you might have seen the breakdown of protein, carbs, and fat. That is key. If you can manage that much food 4-5000 calories a day with a small percentage of fat, spread over 5-7 meals, you WILL be in good shape. I have less fat now at 204 than I did when I began at 188. I can't believe it either, but it works. Good luck. Oh, and I am not on 'gear'. I do plan on decreasing the calories to cut in about 3 weeks. Well, I don't get that as much as you Mutt. I only get looks when my shirt is off, clothed I look just like anyone else. I see from Mike's other post in this forum that he is right there with me in his diet (with fewer calories, and less fat), I am not sure what his hang up is. Funny, the only one that asked me if I used steroids was my wife. She said during an unusual dry spell (if you know what I mean), that I never wanted IT anymore and was I on steroids because I had gotten so big and she thought they killed your sex appetite. I told her, "No, of course not. I just did 40 deadlifts Tuesday and sqauts on Mon, Wed, and Friday. I am freaking TIRED AND SORE!" -------------- Ischjli "Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go." -- T. S. Elliot |

Hey that brings up another question. My wife knows how much I need to workout. Just to give you an idea, when I was 23 or so I had been on medication for depression, one of the many side effects was weight gain. I have since found out that all of those problems I had were directly linked to being fat (even though I still am I have the confindence to deal with it in part gained from lifting). So I started to lift and it helped me get off the drugs. Since then when ever I fell depression coming back, and it does to an extent, I workout. Right now as money is tight I only sign up for three months at a time. The wife knows this and approves me working out. The question I have is why does she not realize how much energy I put in and when I get home at 730pm after an hour of lifting and running I am hungry and tired? I still do things around the house like I need to but sometimes I get a little grumpy when she wants me to be up till 11pm (she is 8 months along right now and needs tlc. I always make sure she is asleep, but by then I am wide awake. LOl ok enough venting. I guess they just do not get it. Well Mutt, it's like anything you do that requires a substantial committment I guess. I mean if you worked 2 jobs (if you already do, make it 3), or travelled as a salesperson, you'd still be in the same dilemma. You just have to take your lumps and know that if you can manage to balance it out, things will work out. I was so there a few years ago when we had our last kid (he is 17 months old now). My wife went from, 'you get it when I want to dish it out', to 'get over here and hold me NOWWWWW!' when she was in her third tri-mester. I was being smothered! Anyways, it is better now and her mood swings have all but disappeared. But I did get pissed when I had NO time for myself too. Mutt, I was in a similar situation like you, except I was15 and then I got depressed and fat to 100+kg. the antidepressants made it even worse as they made me eat at a disgracefully uncontrolabe rate, I pigged out on everything that was available, mostly high carbs and fat (I remember I would drink at least 2-4litres of whole milk a day and eat alot of left over lamb chops) but then when I got off the anti D's I just snapped out of it and started to exercise. unfortunately, it didnt end up so good (read my other post) i was taking cipramil tabs at the time. |
